I have been going through several boxes of things that either my parents or I had boxed up five years ago before our family moved.  Now that I am home indeffintely it is time to actually go through it all.  It is so strange how connected we are to things.  I don't think that I am terribly materialistic or anything, but these things are hard for me to throw away and get rid of.  Maybe I am just a classic pack rat, but I think that it is more than that (I hope haha).  The things that I have found reminded me about parts of myself that I have forgotten all about.  Did you know that I was mildly obsessed with Winnie the Pooh when I was in Middle School and even high school?  I was into jewlery, especially homemade and from other cultures.  I have so much stuff from other countries I could barely believe it.  The boxes contain a lot of who I was and that has shaped who I am.  just  alittle food for thought..it is just amazing to me how much you can forget.

doylestown

Disclaimer: this is not a serious entry.  the events record are factual, but it is presented in a light manor.

Amy Grant and the 500 other people who sang that one song are right.  You don't know what you've got til it's gone.  Today I am forced to say goodbye to an old friend, a friend that I often took for granted.  The traffic light on Portage and Marion in my little town is gone..gone without any explaination.  I will miss the way it would turn red, green, and yellow.  I'll long for the way it was timed a few seconds off from the other light 500 feet ahead of it.  Now what will we do, I'm sure all  5 cars in the town will have issues driving through the center of town without a light to stop them for no apparent reason.  What's more is that we as a town are shrinking!! Yes, today a traffic light, tomorrow a Pizza shop!! Before you know it we will share a fate with Slankerville!! "But I've never heard of Slankerville," you may say...my point exactly..my point exactly.
