A Day to relax

   Hello everyone! I have not been on for quite sometime and decided that I should write to you all today! With the main part of freshmen orientation over I have once again found the meaning of spare time. I love it. My friend Nina and I went to see Spider man 3 on the back lawns of the new student union while having a fish and chips picnic. This week the entire office has been working hard in over time on the third floor of the student un ion, making everything run smoothly downstairs. I have worked with graphic designers, done presentations on how to get involved, organized schedules, ran meetings, attended events, and now the weekend is here. It has been wonderfully fun, but kind of a challenge not being home all week, Thursday was the first time I was able to come home on time for dinner. I am loving it all, but as Dorothy put it, "There's no place like home!" Today is Saturday... a most relaxing one at that, as I look forward to the start of new classes on Monday. I took a nap and woke up to the loud claps of thunder that almost shook the house. There were some large clouds and a little wind, but this thunder sounded as though it had been pouring rain for hours. I have the "Easy Listening" station playing on the satellite, ice cream in a bowl, and feet on the vibrator- haaaa a care free day, and I love it! The simple things in life that bring such utter happiness are that which I adore! :D I do hope you all are doing well, get some rest and relaxation it is well worth it!

A New Day

 Howdee doo ya all! I am sitting in the beautiful work place freshly decorated in Valentines Day Decor! I'll take pics and post later, for all you lucky people on campus, suggestion....come check it out, lots of fun.......quotes from famous people...quotes from not so famous people....quotes from yours truly!!!! And other random cute stuff written on the hearts such as pick up lines, words that make your heart say buh dump, and of course things that make you say 'Ahhh!' It's way decked out as of yesterday, I've been making the decorations for the past 2 days and finally got to put it alll up yesterday for the 'February season!' "Can you feel the love today?" On another note, literally, I think it is going to rain and yes I must admit I am sooo stoked! It's that wonderful kind of day when you wake up and it's still a little dark outside, aka overcast, I love it. The kind of day when you straighten your hair in hopes that it will stay that way, knowing that it probably will boof out due to the moisture. The sort of day where all is quiet in the office, you eating your healthy yougurt, enjoying life, enjoying the rainy view from the big window in front of your desk! Loving life, greatful that God allowed you to wake up this morning! Have a blessed day Everyone!

When I put the whole school fight song up on the wall in cut out letters~At work!

 After a 10 hr work day, with lots o over time obviously, I am about to hit the hay! Thought I'd write just before though! *Smiles It was one of the buisiest days at work, preparing for our open house tomorrow. I was designated the decorator for this event, and with me it has to be done to the fullest! I had the idea of putting our whole school fight song around the perimeter of the room walls! Well after a million gazillion paper cutouts for each letter, the oportunity of taping each came next. Then to risk my life balancing one foot on the chair while the other on the table to get the words to line the wall. It was quite eventful, between getting mail for people here, copying and printing papers there. Right as I was about to begin an organization brought in a humungus stack of 5 different flyers, all of which had to be placed individually into 165 mailboxes! Just as I was on the last set of flyers, a man from the same organization came in with a whole new stack of four fyers per mailbox! I couldn't believe it, neither could my shoulders! 9 X 165 you do the math, I was stuffing mailboxes for quite a while, and I don't want to do math of all things at this point! :D Back to the letters. I worked from 9 this morning until 7:30 pm and am utterly sleepy! The room looks absolutly wonderful and will be ready in time for the open house, in which there will be raffels and a slide show featuring our staff picture's and  questions of random facts about us, such as what our favorite food and color are. Over winter break I got to do the phone calling for donations from local businesses to go into the raffel at the Open House. I've never done calls like that before, but it proved to be a wonderful experience. I wrote a script to read for each call and we were able to get, food, exercise, and book gift certificates, as well as catered Einstein Bagels, sandwhiches, and other food! Now tomorrow is the big day, we'll be ready to go! I officially start my classes tomorrow as well, not having classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester! YAY! 8:30 am for Journalism 101! :) It will be great. There is a conference going on for the next 3 days with different congregations around the area in which Thereasa Bates will be coming to lead congregational dance, David Gibson is speaking, and my dad will be playing in the band! Friday I will be dancing at a concert supporting the Sanctity of Life, that goes towards Saving the Lives of the Unborn. Saturday we'll be celebrating the New Moon Festival and dancing some more! Conferences, work, school starting up, and my audition for the Charlie Brown play keeps me pretty busy latley! But I am thoroughly enjoying all of it! Well I better be off to bed!

Hello's Everyone!!!

Howdy everyone!!!

  I am sitting in my new office at work in the University student union! Today I took my first ever college final exam, and have two more to go until the end of the semester! It's amazing to think that my first semester is done, and so fast, I just finished registering for my next semester's classes and am so excited. A lady I babysit for totally blessed my socks off, we were talking about getting massages and how she and her husband just went together, and she continued by giving me a gift card she had recieved, she said "As long as you promise me you will use it, you can have this gift card. You deserve it!" I have been so blessed, my friend just gave me a bath set with soaps, bath beads and lotions, and the other day I won a humungus 'pamper me' set in a raffle, complete with 6 scented bars of soap, candles, scrubby brushes, scrubby soap, an eye mask you can warm up or cool it down, and eye muffs to sleep in that are pink and say sleeping beauty on them! My mom also got me a new fuzzy baby blue robe! I get the hint, it's time to relax! I'm enjoying life, but I need to take things at a slower pace, sometimes life gets so busy we forget that we need to take time for ourselves to be alone, relax, and enjoy- certain self time to do the thing we enjoy most, or being completly relaxed with family and friends, time to be ourselves, without stress or worry. haaaa sigh! It feels great and I know the body, emotions, brain, and mood will all thank you for it. At work I work at a computer desk answering questions, phones, and running the room that supplies all the crafts for clubs and student organizations! No one is here right now, so I cranked up the classical piano music and decided to write to you all! Tomorrow our staff is going to PF Changs, a nice Chinease retaraunt, for our "staff development" holiday party! They get the bill, and we get to eat and relax with friends and coworkers, how grand it will be. I am relieved to have my next semesters schedual all finished and am going to meet with my councelor next week to make sure all is good with the classes I chose! Well I am going to call the security guard  to escort , me to my car because it's a dark parking lot out there!
