Hey Isaac, can you clarify what you are talking about as far as the rapture is concerned. As far as I see the Rapture must take place. Also What's with the Fire, I am sure God has reserved the earth for a literal Fire, that will destray this earth, I believe that is what you were saying. Any how sorry haven't commented for a while, I was xangad out!   Sure.  Here are my main points (be sure you've read the linked posts):   1)The passover in Egypt was the antetype of the Christian passover. 2)Christ is our passover lamb. 3)In Egypt there was not a house without someone dead. 4)The End of our "World" will be along the same lines as it was "in the days of Noah", where some were "swept away". 5)This is what Christ meant when he said one would be "taken" and one "left".  That is one would die and the other would live.  6)As far as the 'coming' of Christ, I ask you to study the Greek word 'parousia' which is the word translated as 'coming', referring to Christ.    The symbolisms of God 'coming on clouds', is a typical prophetical symbol of divine presence and judgement.  I ask you to freely point out any support you may have for the 'rapture', I am never so sure of myself that I wont look again or listen to what the opposite view has to say.  It is my opinion, however, that we will have to endure the trials- as by fire- that our true nature may be revealed.  Then there will be a restoration of all things, the earth included, along with the resurrection of the flesh.  After all, there must be an earth for the meek to inherit, non?  And according to the preacher, the earth 'abides forever'.  Not to mention, the one that endures to the end is the one who will be saved, right?  It is with these things in mind that we should look forward to the 'coming' of Christ, but don't forget, he is with us always.  So he really never left.   -Isaac

yes, we can certainly debate, friendly debate, i have my reservations about God, and what belief means, the history of belief, and where it leaves us now, as u have yours, they differ, that's fine. But what we have in common is that we got to these conclusions in a personal way which is important to us. Your faith is important to you, my lack of faith is very important to me. Debates need to unfold in a point, counterpoint sort of way, without trying to steal eachothers thunder. In debates, the weakest thing you can do is rest on faith, that stops the conversation because there's no logical way to argue with it. Funny thing about faith is that it exists because it doesn't exist. It's lack of evidence for it's existence is what makes it so strong in the eyes of a believer.
Maybe this EAster, u gonna be there, we can have another debate

I have a suggestion, go on you tube and look up either richard dawkins or daniel dennett. Try to find one of their lectures. Both have some very interesting perspectives on religion, morality, evolution. 2 of the great minds of today. Especially if you can find Dawkins Q and A's for his book The God Delusion, an indepth and critical look at Western religion, mainly Christianity

So when's the next debate. I enjoy debating, especially the topics I'm passionate about. Some of the big ethical issues (ethics and moraility is probably my favorite branch of philosophy). What would you like, Gay Marriage (i'm in favor) Stem Cell Research(in favor) Abortion (I'm pro choice). I would be willing to discuss any of these topics. I was thinking about what you said about evolution, and it really disturbed me, calling it a joke or a hoax. Evolution is not an accident, not a chance, I think you need to do a little research on the topic, especially on the most important part of evolution, natural selction. Design sounds like a good argument, until you actually do the research on what evolution actually is. If evolution is a hoax, than why is it that in the scientific community, it's considered to be a fact. There's all kinds of branches of evolutionary research, psychological evolution, anthropological evoluton, and evolutionary biology. There's no good scientific evidence to support creationism or intelligent design, I've done my research on creationism and can say that I understand it just as well as your average creationist, I cannot get behind it, hole after hole after hole. Their common arguemnt is that nothing in this world with a design is without a designer, makes sense. But using an exampleof a building as an analogy for the existence of the universe is laughable. The universe is complex, yes I understand that, but evolution does a much better job of illustrating the complexities than intelligent design. The only evidence in support of Inteligent Design is Faith, and by definition Faith is the lack of evidence. There is no evidence for it at all.

Hello Abel,
You worked hard to make to make your nice-looking site but I see that you don’t write here much anymore!
I want to help people to really get to know the true God, especially in these troubled times. "But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not." (Ezekiel 2:7) (NASB) I like to write articles about God and religion on my site. I hope you get a chance to look at them.
