My father sold his guitar to buy me medicine. Being born in VN, I wasn't healthy and constantly ill, it may not seem like much, but to sell of a prized possession -- a person doesn't have to think twice when it comes to family.

I have nothing positive to add. I met my real dad once when I was 11 for 10 minutes and from 8-12 I had a stepfather that was abusive and alienated me. I left home when I was 12 due to those exact reasons, and I only turned back once (to go to my mothers funeral on mothers day when I was 15 years old)

I have spent my whole life alone and watched as everyone enjoys family and celebrates the closeness....and I dont feel like a roofless house...more like G-d threw me over a fence I couldnt climb back over....then again, I havent had any loved ones for a very long time. I havent seen or talked to my lil brother and sister in over 15 years, and it hurts....but it would hurt more to watch them watch me die....

this life is only for show...when I die, I will finally be allowed to live and be free.. :)

Hi Linda. Yes, our fathers are very important to us and we should be thankful for every day he is in our lives.
