Life's Uncertainties...

NATURE-SunsetBlissII_1600x1200.jpg picture by linny79

All of us have heard this before, “fear of the uncertainties,” right? Well, what do you think about it? I presume that each and every one of us, at some point in time, dwell into the thoughts and feelings of uncertainties and allowing it to get the best of us, right? Hmm, must it have to be that way? I have lived for the most part, near the end of my quarter-life stages and I have come to terms that there is nothing to be fearful about the abstraction of uncertainties. All we have to do is change our perspective and attitude of it. In redefining the problem, the solution will come to us, effortlessly. Does it make sense? Allow me to paraphrase that, if we choose to see, “uncertainties” as the best have yet to come, an opportunity, a maximum potential that is awaiting for us to take initiative of, then would we still be afraid of the unknown? It is in the natural law of nature, that each of us reaches our highest understanding and shine toward the light, like a flower blossom itself growing into its most beautiful state of being. So are humans. But the real answer derives from within. As ironic as this may sound, but if we are willing to allow the unknown of life to take its course, then everything else will work itself out.  It is through what is internal that reflects the external. Just flip it inside out and we will see the drastic difference it could impact our own life, in the most natural ways possible. There's a saying that, it is through obstacles that we discover our true inner strength. So embrace uncertainties, welcome it, dance with it, be in tune with it, for it will only help us develop and realize our own true worthly value that has been hidden away for so long.   Like the, “Laws of Attraction,” if we choose the brighter side of a dilemma, then the lesson in its seeds will reveal itself for the gaining of a greater wisdom.

Is it possible to rise above our own life's uncertainties?

it is possible and also recommended to overcome most personal uncertainties...its been said by Ben Franklin that "Nothing is certain but death an taxes" and also re-coined by the Godfathers with an album titled "Birth School Work Death".

Pascals Wager comes to mind, as well as the decision theory and the paradox of choice....(pertaining to life, not mathematical theory, even though it can be argued that life is one big math problem :p )

btw... and hope you are well and doing lovely!

We can not avoid uncertainty but we can be prepared to deal with it as best as we could.

i think that it's a matter of our experience. it seems to me that our anticipation of uncertanty, whether possitive or negative, is determined by our experiences. i dont believe it is the uncertanty it'self that we anticipate, as the likelyhood. let me use examples to explain.

if i get a new job and everyone there treats me poorly, so i leave and find another job and the same happens, and a pattern developes, then moving into a new carreer or even social situation becomes more than just an uncertanty; it becomes a likely source of abuse, and i will dread it.

say though that i get a new job and my boss apreciates me, my coworkers are cooperative and encouraging and i get paid well and recieve incentives and bonuses and timely and helpful raises. then i am transferred to another office or get a new job and again, a pattern developes. uncertainty then becomes a likely source of adventure, success and joy.

im fairly certain this holds true. if you look at people who fear change and new things, uncertain situations, look at the changes they have endured through their lives. look at their experiences. they probably have scars and wounds that go back a long way and cut very deep. i know that for myself, i find it difficult to accept kindness without knowing exactly what the persons motives are; there is too much likelyhood that it's a setup for something else. cruelty, is much safer, at least then that they mean it.

I read it in a book somewhere when I was a teen, "To see with eyes unclouded."

That means to look around and evaluate what is around you, how can I say from my experiences? Without being blinded be the greedy horny frightened monkey that resides in us all. The inner primate. George Carlin called it the reptilian brain, but it's the primate brain, the inner primate.

Bad things can be a blessing or a curse. Let's say you were mugged on your way home again living in a really really bad neighborhood by teens who unfortunately have no regard for human life? How would one wisely deal with the clear cutting knowledge that your home was very unsafe (funny it took six years to get that, but then again I didn't get out much before)

So... where was I six years ago? I was in college back in the city, not the one I work at, and I dropped out to work where I work now (which was too bad, because I was doing well and loving it.) Sounds like the wake up call is these simple facts. I can't get a position like I have now without at least a bachelors. I can't stay at my current job because it's really unsafe here (and depressing anyway.)

So what to do? Well, get back into college sounds like a very wise idea. It was really nice making this kind of money for two years. In 290 days I will go back to what I was making before and in four years I can get a real entry level position I should have gotten ten years ago.

It's time to stop bouncing from one situation from another. It's time to make a choice rather than settle for a reaction to my passive resistance.

I'm sorry, unless you knew me, that answer to that question would make very little sense, but it's my answer.

Hehehe, here you go breaking the "Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle" in physical chemistry.  True, just take it in stride.  Life has the tendency to smack us around a bit, if you never experience it.... then you aren't trying hard enough.  Have a good weekend H.
