| It's almost a year since i joined Xanga! To be honest, I am thinking of
switching to Blogspot. The interface looks more appealing to me and I
can link to non-xanga bloggers. I have also just started an online
photo album here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/yiits/. The retarded thing about this service is that there is a 10MB bandwidth quota per month unless I pay.
Another whole day training on Behavioral Finance. So much statistics
and academic research papers and ideas were quoted; I felt so lost at
times. Had a good Vietnamese lunch at Desa Sri Hartamas (Lotus rice,
soursop juice, nice beefball soup but didn't like the 'basic' rice
roll). Will definitely go back there again. Had Pizza Hut delivered for
dinner (after years of not dialing 755-25-25; now
1-300-88-2525)...Chicken Masala pizza and Thai seafood (you will never
find this in the US).
Speaking of masala, one of my friends from India might visit Malaysia
at the end of May. Yay! And oh, look at my online dating quiz results
in the previous post. No comment.

| I attended a course today as part of my training and it was called
Economic Indicators and Its Financial Implications. It felt like econ
class - the speaker was good and gave a lot of intuitive explanations
and example. Got to learn a lot of new stuff such as using economic
indicators to try to predict the stock market. Still have a long way to
go.
Yesterday I saw Sahara with K.S. Not bad a movie, not awesome either.
Fair amount of comedy. Penelope Cruz thrown in just for sex appeal.
Reminds me of what people in university do when they get high or drunk
before/during/after football game. And then after my training today,
K.S. saw The Pacifier. I'm a comedy person, so I give this show two
thumbs up. Go and watch it! Vin Diesel plays dad is hilarious.
"Land!!!".

| I'm swimming with work! I have to attend 6 hour courses this Saturday and Sunday!
Onto the world scene, we all know China and South Korea is still upset over Japan's
WWII atrocities. Reading readers' comments on BBC, people seem to be
criticizing China for its human rights, Tiananmen Square and Tibet
issues. No doubt, I think those issues should be addressed in a proper
fashion but I feel that with Japan having "deeply reflected the past"
instead of apologizing formally like what Germany did is not good
enough.
Killing so many people (including many atrocities such as the Nanjing massacre) and not apologizing
is just wrong. Paying former sex slaves (to atone) when they are in
their 70s today is also not good enough. Think of it as a bribe to shut
up. Visiting the shrine dedicated to Japan's WWII war criminals is like
paying respects to Hitler's grave - so if the Japanese PM does it, what
does it show? The whitewashing of some of Japan's history books for
students - with regards to the Nanjing massacre referred to as incident
is just too much. Just try to call the massacre of Jews in Europe an
incident and watch the response.
