wow...i haven't wrote in this thing in ages. late is better than never, right? anyways...here's a quick recap for anyone who still reads my xanga:
first of all i can't believe it's already been a year since i have ventured over here to sunny los angeles, where it was 85 degrees and sunny as it could be while new york was covered in like 100 feet of snow. i miss each and everyone back home dearly and hopefully i'll be able to shoot back out there around memorial day, as long as the financial market stabalizes.
i've been living in alhambra, ca which is 5 minutes from pasadena and 10 minutes from k-town. it's clean, quiet and it's close to my office. i enjoy l.a., but everyone knows which coast is the best as well as "the originator, none greater...so nice they had to name it twice...NY, NY." this is my schedule weekly:
M - F from 8:30am - 6pm office. 7pm-8:30pm work out. come home, shower, eat, fix myself a drink and relax.
Sat. run errands and laundry.
Sun. basketball or softball.
Pretty productive, huh?
For whoever doesn't know by now, i work for Countrywide Financial Corp. (CFC) Full Spectrum Lending Division. i'm a senior account executive and i pretty much put together mortgages or home loan programs for existing homeowners as well as new home buyers. i also help homeowners who have financial hardships consolidate debt and help rebuild their credit scores. if anyone out there needs help in any of those catagories, feel free to e-mail me @ ken_yim@countrywide.com and i'll be more than happy to see what i could do. work is okay and everything is great, besides being single and missing home. it's funny that in the supposed "city of sex," it really is difficult finding someone to share your life with. maybe that's a sign...to really understand what i'm feeling, you guys should download the song WOMAN IN CHAINS by Tears for Fears. that will explain everything.
being out here by myself has taught me a lot of things. i have a lot more time to think out here and i tend to look at all the bad things i have done in my life as well as all the bad things that have happened to me. there are times when i wish i could re-live my past and make things right, but i know that is impossible so i have been living by a new philosophy: simply put, live life the right way, not the wrong way. it's kind of confusing to understand that statement, but once you do get it, your eyes will open wider and your vision will be a lot clearer (metaphorically speaking).
anyways...i hope everyone enjoyed reading this entry. sorry it was so long. in closing, i just want to say, i wish everyone nothing but good health, wealth and happines in this fresh new year. may all of your families as well as yourselves be blessed with all these things as well as much more. if anyone plans on coming out to l.a., please don't hesitate in contacting me. i still have the same cell # ((201).538.1448) so call me up and we'll hang out most definitely. until the next time...take care and stay warm~
p.s. i hope all is well for you, kwang. it's been 1 year since and i remember you taking me out for my going away party to l.a. like it was yesterday. i still pour liquor for you to this day my brother. you will always be missed. |
