debate nationals - hillcity, ipoh first of all, we lost.  hah, but nevermind, we still had fun there. it wasnt a really fair fight. lots of injustice happened. urgh. anyway. we met up at choong ai's house around 8:30. vicher was SO LATE. HAH, because her mum had tennis. she came around 10:45am. we actually wanted to pratice, but then it turned out that we fooled around, went online, played with her slimming machine, talked nonsense, etc etc.

oops, qi luo lost a 'gem' from her shoe. HAH. 
nahhh there it is =] we were very very very hungry. we reached at about 2 and we had to wait until 7 for dinner. urgh. and you know what? the food was sooooo ewwy. we simply ate a few mouthfuls, and left. AND WE WENT TO THE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR TO EAT. HAHAHAHA.

ahhh real food at last. 
after food, we went back to our rooms, and practiced. the next day: at smjk sam tek. 
we were against sam tek itself. and we got the opposing motion. 应禁止快餐店在媒体刊登广告 the 2nd & 3rd motions were: 少年涉及飙车，家长应受到惩罚 国小应成为人民首选学校 we were quarantinned in a classroom and blablablbalal we had our last minute discussions. the competition photos are with michelle and choongai, so i will upload them separately soon. SAD TO SAY, we lost. its was quite a shock as the audience and us ourselves expected us to win, because our impromtu questions and answers were far better than the boys' team. but alas, the judges said that our points were muddy blbalbalablalb, but you know what? we used the same script as we used in penang and won and now they are telling us that our points are 'muddy'? urgh, that particular judges annoys people because he thinks he is very handsome and sticks both of his hands in his stupid pockets and walk around, strutting like a proud peacock. URGH. and far worst, two of our opponenets looked like our friends in penang. the 'prime minister' looked so much like kenneth while the 3rd speaker looked like alex. HAH. i felt like laughing at first. WE LOST and so, the 2 other motions' scripts are gone to a waste. so 16 scripts not used. =( we werent happy, were quite mad actually, but there's nothing we could do. we walked to ipoh parade opposite the school to eat. HAH, and we went to eat fast food. 
after that, we went for ICE CREAM. YAY. and then after that, vicher's parents and sister came and her father treated us all to STARBUCKS. yay again.

and then we returned to sam tek to watch the semis. pn toh annie purposely came from penang to meet us, to give us moral support, even thought she is english educated. hahahah, thanksssssssssssss teacher =D 
didnt take many photos, so now lets have a look at the finals. 
the team from klang won at last. although they broke the rules. they talked about sensitive issues. the audience were so sure they would lose. they were even rude. but WHO KNOWS. the judges have weird minds. and people were so dissatisfied and angry. URGH. unfair unfair unfair. but what could we do? and now BYE BYE. off we go back.

goodbye to samtek. before going back, teacher seow's husband treated us for ngar choy kai. yummyyyyyy. hahahha, when i reached home, mum brought us all to queensbay. met polin, yik wei, yong ling, yeong lyn, and chun kit. |
