spring 2005 RTW is my season! lotsa lotsa whites, creams and ivories from emanuel ungaro, dries van noten, oscar de la renta, stella mccartney, christian lacroix, chloe, lagerfeld gallery, and so many more!

but i am quite disappointed with some labels..... few pieces in the roberto cavalli's collection look like those flowery table cloths... and for miu miu, i just don't see any amusements in the past season or in the coming one.............

~*~ Summer 2004 ~*~

Loads of gatherings... met up with Marsha and Rochelle (haven't seen both of them since elementary school!) and Vikki, cousins' visit to HK, Jackie's bday, tons of lunches/dinners with parents' friends, go-kart and many more. It's nice to see those whom I have known for ages, yet didn't have the chance to meet in the past decade.

The greatest internship ever!!! Have never enjoyed work this much... though I am still a lazy ass. Really glad that I got to know some nice people at work and made good friends with them. There were a few interns but only knew 2 of them since the rest came after I left. -__- Got to know some CMU grads as well... didn't know there are that many people in HK graduated from CMU... Also found my "brother"... lots of people said we looked alike, but I don't think so.......... Anywayz, best of all, no programming for the whole summer, hooray! Am 99% sure that I won't work in the IT field for full-time. *fingers-crossed*

Trip to Taipei with Jen, Vincent, and Kristine was fantastic. We ate tons and tons of food, except Kristine as she was not used to the bacteria/weather/whatever in Asia. We basically stuffed ourselves off the streets, in the restaurants and night markets. Oh... had the best "siu lung bau" in Ding Tai Fung. 6 people ordered 7 "lungs"....... pretty crazy......

Bahamas, Spring Break 2004 - Andreas - Ian - Ivan - JLo - Mary - Phil - Vincent -









Cable Beach, Poop Deck, downtown Nassau, crack conch & fried snappers @ Tony's, Pradise Island, dinner @ Anthony's, Love Beach, self-cooked Bahamian fried fish & lobsters, beach volleyball, snorkeling, Rose Island, hair braiding, Pink Sand Beach in Eleuthera, reading & falling asleep under the sunshine, world's largest coconut, bargaining, dinner @ Conch Fritters, Atlantis the Dig, partying @ Waterloo.......... What a fantastic trip! We really rocked the Bahamas! Even though I was the only girl in the gang, I managed to have lotsa fun, but I wish there were more girls. Plus one regret: didn't go to the Dolphins Encounter. That thingy cost like $160 (US $$$) and you only get to swim with dolphins for merely 30 minutes so didn't worth it..... Newayz, we made full use of each day and didn't waste any single minute... wellz, except the day before we left since we were all very very tired. We (not me & Vincent) became really tanned especially Ian who is now a bun lo hehe. Will alwayz remember this awesome Spring Break. ^_^ == More pics of our vacation in the Bahamas ==

Spent most of the time on Valentine's Day programming... >_< Went to this restaurant on Mount Washington at 9pm so people started leaving when we were only half way through our meals. That's good though cuz we could take "mo liu" pictures just like the ones above. Isn't the one on the left cool?!? We took pictures of our reflections hehe. Andreas played with his camera and discovered this "function" even though he has had his camera for quite a bit of time. The match cases were given by the restaurant but emmm, look at the names on those cases. I was in love with myself?????
3 more weeks till spring break in Bahamas, woohoo! My desire of swimming with dolphins will come true soon. One thing I am concerned of... I don't want to get tanned.................. gonna bring all my SPF skincare stuff, sunglasses, hats, and umbrella to avoid getting dark! And hmm, wearing long-sleeve on a tropical island.

Mid-term break is here. Finally has one extra day off after all these hectic work. IS project is cool so far even though building a desktop application is not an easy process. Courses for the master program are okay but one thing I don't like about it is that I have to bring my ugly IBM laptop to classes, i.e. I am becoming geeky! Argh... this is not a good sign.

Alrite, jumping to another topic. Somehow, I have a "fear" these days. I am afraid of losing everything that I have now. It seems that all the things that I have are so idealistic and so perfect (except the hardcore workload.....) Have a very warm family, a couple of good friends, and a nice bf; no worry about money; get good-enough grades in school. Do I really deserve all these? It does confuse me a bit that how can someone who hasn't really put in effort gets all the stuff that other people desire. I know I am blessed and very "hang fook." All I can do is to treasure everything around me, and keep every moment in my memory.

Just a random fear that I have... bear with me, okay? I wanna grow up and be mature, but I want to be protected by my parents and not be exposed to this cruel world. There are too many worries and stress out there. I am just not ready to face all these mess. I am not ready to become independent. I am not ready to be a grown up.

Gonna leave HK in 6 hours... have only been back for around 3 weeks... I know I'll suffer from homesick again. >_< Ever since high school, I have homesick every time I leave HK. Don't think I have really become independent...... still need my parents to do lotsa stuff for me. Oh wellz, it's good to be their little girl and never grow up~

Summer in HK went by quickly. Spent quite a lot of time with family. ^_^ Took some sticker pics with my sisters but Lindy weren't there since she was in Holland....... and then she went to o-camp or sth......

Gonna see dad and Heng in September cuz I needa help Heng get settled in high school (yay, going back to Williston... dunno if the teachers still remember me.........)

It's nice to meet up with a couple of good friends too. Dunno how many years I have known Jen and Chiumui, hehe. Too long that I dun wanna count the years :-/ Chiumui is off to Australia to visit her bf... only met up with her twice...... even worse, only saw Jen once...... sorry guys, have been quite busy........ promise to see you guys more often in december!

Also met up with some good friends overseas. Got to visit Limmy in Korea! Keiko went there too! The trip was fun, and I enjoyed spending time with them. It's hard to keep a "long distance relationship" but we did it. After graduating from high school, we can still be good friends for such a long time!

Then joined my family for the rest of the tour. (missing Lindy again!!!) So tiring to get up at 7am and then fell asleep on the bus....... but I did spend some quality time with my parents and sis~

Of course, one of the best things that I did this summer was going to see the Real Madrid vs. Hong Kong soccer match. Thx to Andreas and his dad~ My 6-year love for Beckham has been rewarded!!!!!!!!!!!! My dream finally came true!!!!!! Still remember that I wrote about Beckham for my college essay...... about the person that I admired the most.... how he learned thru failure and his perseverance and blah blah blah.

Got a bonus after the game... saw Andy Hui at the carpark and took a picture with him, haha. I wish I could take a picture with my dearest Beckham!

Such a long entry hehehe. Being home is the best... only 3 weeks in HK aren't enough....... I probably slept half of the time........... and had too little time to do some meaningful stuff. *argh* school will start soon and will be back to freaking boring pittsburgh........ gotta wait for another 4 months to come back to HK... already looking forward to it. ^__^

Still remember Regina Ip came to SSGC to give a lecture or sth at the assembly years back then. At that time, we were amazed of her accomplishments and were proud of her. Afterall, Regina Ip was an alum of SSGC. Now, she becomes this to-be-blamed person, feel a bit sorry for her to suck up Tung's shits. Oh wellz, politics are complicated..... oooh, SSGC actually produces quite a lot of famous alum: Regina Ip, Fan Tsui Lai Tai, Yu Tsang, Sandra Ng (hahahahahaha), the Kong's sisters etc. Way to go, SSGC! My internship is gonna end soon and hell yeh, going back to HONG KONG right after!!!!!!!!!! eXtreMeLy eXciTed!!!!!!!!!!!
It was Andreas' bday some days ago, so I made him a bday CHEESEcake since I couldn't find him a decent bday gift in shitty Pittsburgh. This was my 1st time making a cake... and as usual, it tasted really bad. My hands were all shaking when I tried to write with the icing and couldn't draw straight lines... Also, there were cracks on the surface of the cake, gotta covered them with whip cream that has been sitting in the fridge for a couple of months...... Anywayz, buying a bday cake is a much better idea. Happy belated birthday to Lindy and Heng!!!
Went to NYC from 6/29 to 7/2. It was my 7th or 8th time going to NYC. The more I go there, the less I like it... shopping in Soho, 5th Ave, and Madison Ave is still cool though....... went there with Andreas' friends (Celia and James) this time. The trip was fun. Had dinner at this fusion restaurant (French+Vietnamese)... We ordered roast duck and roast chicken and thought the dishes would be garnished in the French way, but it turned out to be in the Chinese way! The great thing was having FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE at Serendipity. It was yuMMy and huge! More pics here.

random facts of my current life

   - WORKING from 9am to 5pm, Mon thru Fri
   - more PROGRAMMING at work (after abandoning PHP for a semester, it's time to pick up      PHP again~ may be more .NET later on)
   - DRIVING to work at 70mph... okay, hopefully my parents won't be reading this...
   - NAPPING after getting back home from work
   - SLEEPING from midnight till 7am ***healthy life*** (restricted to mon-fri only)

boring, eh?!?!? i am hoping to go back to HK in late-july or sth. miss FAMILY, miss FRIENDS, miss SHOPPING (didn't buy enough in nyc)...

may we all wish Hong Kong the best! this is the least i can do since i am not a microbiologist, nor a doctor, nor a medical researcher. i truly hope that HK will go thru this hard time and i believe so. HK has one of the top medical facilities and has many smart people, we will win the battle. let's stay united, let's fight against the mysterious sars virus.

to my beloved family, friends, and everyone in HK: take care, stay strong, be brave! to the unfortunate patients who are suffering from sars: don't give up and get well soon. salute to the doctors in HK, for your endless effort in curing patients. your spirit will never die.
