Happy 2006!!

Just as my usual update - nothing much had happened in the past months.. but I could hardly find some spare time to update!! lazy or busy?!

Anyways... just some quick review....

1. Nov 23 2005: Happy 25th Anniversary to my parents!! We had a small party to celebrate their big day!! Looking forward for their Golden Anniversary!!

2. Dec 8, 2005: Another big day in my life - its my dad and lo kung 's birthday!! Yeah.. their bday is on the same day!! how interesting!!! We had a hotpot party at home .. just for some fun!! I took a day off for their lunch party in the office. I had prepared something cute for my dad... and he just fall in love with it!! For lo kung, , we had a MJ party with friends the week ahead, I made a mango cheesecake for my beloved!! Yeah... it was great... a huge success!!! proud of me ? =)

3. Dec 23-27, 2005: Went to Bangkok with 10 friends... !! it was fun.. but super tiring!! I got a cold during the trip.. but we had a great time!!!

4. Dec 28-30, 2005: Annual leave... long vacation....

5. Dec 30, 2005 - Jan 1, 2006: Went to Zhongshan with friends... we had the traditional gift exchange and MJ Competition... Lo Kung won the first runner up!! Hurray!!!

Again, its been a really long while since my last entry.... Updating xanga seems to become part of my monthly habit ! Life is so packed... work-class-family-friends-horseracing-mahjong-hotyoga-sleeping!!! Its seems no longer affortable to spend my time on TV, movie, concert, or even shopping, so how could I spare myself to stay online every other night? It is also the fact that I havent had a chance to really get online and chat with my friends!! Anyways... just as usual... I really enjoy my life and work (STILL)!! haha... School started in late September... every tuesday from 7 pm to 10 pm...It is so tiring to attend the lecture with full concentration after all day work!! But it seems to be a good practice before I decide to move any further!!

Anyways... I went to Tokyo with Lo Kung and a couple during the long weekend in early October. This four days super-superior trip was fantastic -- crazy shopping + nice food + hotspring (we actually had our own hotspring in the balcony)!! We really enjoyed every moment in Japan!! How nice to have great companions which made the trip the best of all. The five of us came along so well that we never had any disagreements or boring scenes, even we were paying a mid-five digit which was supposed to be sufficient for a "7 days Europe superior tour package" !! Anyways... just HAPPY!!! So from now on we gotta start saving up... and hope we can have another nice trip in the coming time (yeah.. xmas)!! So what else? hm... just make it quick and short...

1. Little Tim is back for midterm break, so gotta spare my times at home!!

2. Ceci visited Hong Kong in early Oct and we had dinner together with Yoyo!! How great to catch up with my good friends!!

3. We went to Ocean Park Halloween Bash on Oct 15 with other 20 friends. The Ocean Park was full of PEOPLE!!! so damn crowd!! It was a bigbigbig mistake to visit the park with such a big group!! It turned out a hella mess!! At last only 5 of us insisted to stay for the haunted houses. Fortunately, we were able to visit four houses, at least we had our time worth !!

4. I become a member of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. I really love my dad and mom so much!! Not only he had sponsored the hugh admission fee, I really appreciated how he brought me up with his connections!! Honestly, I dont really care about the membership, as I seldom use any facilities or resturants in HKJC. But it proves how much my mom cares about my future and also my children (if I had one), who she believes could benefit from this life-time memerbship thing!! I really love my parents so much!! Right now.. just wish I could have enough luck and money to become a horse owner!! I will work hard for my goal, my target and my dream!!!

5. New hair style - permed my hair a month ago!! Seldom had such a big change, and I really love it !! and I also love the phase how Jessie described my new style "mature and cute".... I used to believe the two words are contradicted!! hahaha!!

6. Currently planning for a short trip to Bangkok in xmas... looking forward!!

7. I really miss my best friend so much!! Ever since she started to work, we havent had a chance to chill out!! Angel Chang... when are you gonna have some spare time for me?!!

8. Lo Kung... just wanna say ... I U!!

*We had so much fun at Disney as we didnt expect too much (its so true-No Expectations No Disappointment)!! I like the drama show and firework!! Must try the popcorn.. super delicious!! Tones of pictures will be uploaded by this week*

Wow... its such a long long time!!!I'm really lazy/busy to update!! Time runs extremely fast ever since I started to work. I cant believe its been nearly four months since my first day of work!! Its been a big change during the past three months...I quitted my first job at Savills and got the offer from KGI Securities. HR job is relatively routine and internal. But for some reasons... I really like my job... perhaps its sort of professional and provides me with high job satisfaction. Its kind of challenging and interesting to handle stuff like MPF, medical, payroll, annual leave, employment ordinance, management training... and maintaining the HRMS system. I enjoy working independently, and there's really a lot to learn!! I plan to take some HR courses related to employment law in the coming fall, so that I could gain relevant knowledge for my job (part of the reason is because I have promised to study the employment ordinance when they gave me the offer). I wish I can develop my expertise in this field! My working hours is 9-6 monday to friday (No work on Sat)!! Usually I can off work quite on time.. seldom OT as I work very fast!! no doubt on my effeciency!! but I really have work with care cos sometimes I made mistakes (luckily they were just some minor ones)..I wanna train up myself with more patience and care!! My colleagues are very nice and kind, they are willinging to teach and share...but I know they are never my type for personal relationships. Coworkers are not friends!! I know we should set up some distances in between! About my boss, she is very kind and generous!! Our department is like a family and she seems likes me too!! She always gave me compliments and seems seeing me highly!! Its really a great comfort cos I can prove my own ability. My office is located in Central ICBC Tower, right next to the CitiBank Tower. I like this fast paced environment - heavy traffic + professional look + fast walking speed = I'm becoming more energetic to work!!! Honestly, its always like my dream to work in Central...and perhaps that's why I quitted my first job.. haha! just kidding.. anyways, without my experiences at Savills, I will never find out how interesting to be an HR, I will never find out the wrong perceptions I made in the past. I used to believe it is a must to work for a big four or top five, however, I realized I am not suitable to be part of the big corp... (We've got nearly 7000 employees at Savills while only 500 in KGI, so in comparison KGI is much "smaller"). I just hate being a "small potato" at Savills with so many people around, its not only competitive but lower level is nearly "invisible"! Anyways... to be honest, working is no fun and my job is nothing special... however, I learn a great deal of stuff which is very meaningful !!I'm not dreaming to be a superman, but wanna be someone useful!! The most important is how my parents recognized my work. I can tell they are very impressed with my working attitude!! I'm happy cos they are proud of me!! I will work hard and try to explore as much as possible, seems there's many potential career advancement in this field, I will try my best and work hard for my future!! I love going to work.. life is as beautiful as usual!!

About my personal life...I am doing perfectly well with Marco or should say just as great as usual!! He has moved to the Auditing Department several months ago. I'm sure he is enjoying his work.. cos I know he likes to deal with number and auditing is sort of professional too!! We have some other plans for our future .. and hope we can work it through!! Usually Marco spent three to four nights a week at my place and drove me to work almost every other morning (either my parents or marco send me to work... and that's why I never late .. keke), just like how we had been in the United States, except we have to wake up really early now as compared to our college time!!This stable relationship seems to prove our maturity to my parents!! They just let us be with full support!!!!! The greatest parents!! Little Tim came back from UK for summer vacation... and James seldom went back to his dorm.. our home is very crowd recently... but this family is getting along very close and happy!!

So other than my love life... I have picked up hot yoga recently!! Hot yoga really helps relief my pressure and detoxicate my body!! All the stretching and body balancing really comfort my nerves!! I like that feel--sweating like hell!! Its really good for me who never sweat a bit!! My weekly schedule is quite routine... usually I spend an hour practicing yoga with my mom once or twice a week...one night dinner at home,one night for my favorite foot massage, and spend most of my nights on the mj table. Working life didnt change my habit much... still keep on playing mj at least twice a week!! hahaha!! But I am getting less sleep ever since I started to work... cant believe I can get up on time and never late!!! kekeke!! YingYingPig is no longer a PIG!!! Somehow miss the time in US while I can sleep from night to day (6 am to 6 pm)!! How crazy!!

hm... whatelse?!! Went to Macau with Lo Kung in late June.. Spent two days in the Goldsand Casino.. and of cos... came home with an empty pocket.. (oh.. I just gambled too much!!) and then in early July went to Zhong Zhen for three days with Lo Kung and his big group of friends...its hella fun!!We took many pictures but I didnt have time to upload yet.. promise will do that as soon as possible.. and I wanna take some new pictures too... cos I have a new hair cut!! haha!! actually not really new.. cos if you knew the little Janice in elementary .. you would probably recognize me!! boring style... I never had a big change!!! anyways... I am going to the Disney pre-opening next friday.. so guess that would be a good time for some nice pictures!! I'm not a Disney Fan, but I'm excited for the one-day tour with Lo Kung and my good friends!! yeah... Eliza and Clare were back but I still havent had time to meet with them yet. Its been like 5 yrs ever since the three of us gathered together!! What a precious moment!! Jessie was back too I GUESS. cos she STILL hasnt called me yet while she called Ariel long long time ago!! Probably she has forgotten about me!! so Jessie if you are reading this, you better call me up or .....=) Catch up with Ceci couple days ago.. glad to know she plans to visit HK in Sept!! I miss this little girl!! She is lovable!! Ceci... quick quick come to HK la.... wanna go shopping with you and YoYo (so shameful... still havent met with YoYo and Jovan yet!! but I always know this couple is enjoying their little world cos YoYo always update her xanga... and somehow even I didnt talk to her for a long time.. I knew everything about siuyoji and siujoji)!! so looking forward to meet with my good friends... and Angel... congratulations to your graduations!! I'm so proud of you =)!!

Okie... perhaps I should do the update more often.. its kind of sick to write such a long entry!! yeah... after I start to work.. Tomorrow, May 30 2005, is a new day!! I will start my first job at FPD SaVills. Being a human resouces officer in a property management firm is not my desirable job... but as soon as I can work for a big corporation with five days work from 9-5... I think it should be a fair choice!! Since my failure with Four Seasons... I am kinda confused with my life... I lost my passion in job hunting... and I hate going through the interviews stuff!!! yeah.. gotta admit the fact that I cant handle or take failure!! so now I hope my new job will refresh my mood and give me some hints for re-searching the purpose of my life.... yeah... feeling kinda aimless!! I just wanna live meaningfully!! I am very frustrated with my shopping days... its no fun especially there's nothing to buy or shop!!!! I'm glad I can put a period on my shopping days and make a new page!! so hoping to enjoy my work ... dont expect too much cos I afraid it turns out disappointing!!

Havent updated since the Bangkok trip... the trip was fun but exhausted!! The four ladies went shopping everyday ... we went with two luggages but came back with eight big bags!!! Things were so neat and cheap, and those little things catch your heart!! What I enjoyed the most was the spa and thai massage!! I always in love with these relaxing activities!! Aside, I havent had a good meal in Bangkok except the breakfast buffet in the hotel .. thai food was too spicy and I didnt really enjoy it!! Anyways... I had a good trip with my mommy!!

Nothing much had happened... still havent got a job yet...life is just as boring as usual!! I know I should look for jobs more actively... but I really lost the passion!! Ever since I failed the fourth interview with Four Seasons... I was totally discouraged!! This is not my first failure.. but perhaps I have been expecting too much... it's really difficult to overcome my disappointment!! I dont even remember when was my last resume sent out... job hunting was totally dead!!! I have never been so lost... I always know exactly what I want.. and I am such an organized... detailed and result -oriented person... but right now.... very confused!! Whenever I blame for my aimless life... Marco would say "What do you expect? you are not looking for jobs.. you are waiting for jobs to hunt you!!" yeah... he is so true!! I never take this job hunting things seriously... just wait and expect for the greatest offer... and never accept the fact that I am just a normal person who will fail!! I hate my attitude!! Okay.. starting from today... a new life for me!! Job hunting will be in good process!! I will work hard!!! I hate to be so aimless... so confused... so unproductive... this is not me!!!

I wish I havent screwed up the interview today.... but it wasnt a good one at all!! Anyways... there's nothing I can do about it.. and I hope mircales would somehow happen on me!! Dont wanna look back... wanna enjoy my four days trip... Lo Kung.. I will miss you!!
