Still curious. But less so.
No news about the father and the girlfriend yet, except that she's been offered a job out of state for another chemistry/pharmaceutical (sp?) type place like Eli Lilly where she worked a few months ago. Who knows?
Eli: "I haven't had a girlfriend in a while, Jen." me: "Well, there's more to life than dating, buddy." me in my head: "There's a reason for that, Eli."
I'm gonna get myself in trouble someday for saying shit like this in an online open journal that everyone I know can read.
Enough.... of whatever I'm doing. When I get around to using my CD burner and Kazaa or whatever we have, I've got a list of the best songs I could think of (primarily early 90's artists or of a previous era):
* Eagle Eye Cherry-- "Closing Time" * Natalie Imbruglia-- "Torn" or "Kiss Me" * Alanis Morissette-- "Ironic" or anything of hers * Blessid Union of Souls-- "I Wanna Be There" * Duncan Sheik-- "Barely Breathing" * Edwin McCain-- "I'll Be" * Matchbox Twenty-- "Push" * Sheryl Crow-- "If It Makes You Happy" * Led Zeppelin-- "Black Dog" or anything of theirs * Natalie Merchant-- "Kind and Generous" * Smashing Pumpkins-- anything at all * Third Eye Blind-- that one song... * The Who * Yes * Jewel-- "Save My Soul" or whatever it's called * Eve 6-- "Beautiful Oblivion" * Blind Melon
You know... half of these songs were one-hit wonders, but I've got this crazy fascination for songs like that today... I think it's the whole "I'm stuck in the house all day today because of the snow and I can't go anywhere; I just need some fresh air" thing.
Any ideas for better songs....? |
