| Cat: The Voice and Bass Of First Child
Cat
was born on 13-1-1982 in Frankfurt / Main where she spent her first
years of life. Already the 4-year old girl showed an exceptional
passion for music. She sang herself every evening into sleep and
usually started waking up with a vocal welcoming, too. Cat's parents
quickly recognized and encouraged the potential of her firstborn. And
so she received her first keyboard lessons at the age of 7. Around that
time Cat was selected for the TV advertising "Barbie.. where she took
over the vocal performance for the German commercials. Here she could
already convince numerous listeners as a little girl with great passion
for singing.
Cat got her first guitar as a present for her 12th
birthday. Very fast she learned to love and to play this instrument.
The foundation for a musical career was set and nothing could stop it.
At
the age of 14 Cat founded her first band named ..Moby Dick.. .. making
first experiences in performing live on stage as a singer &
guitarist and mastering this task as usual, with bravura. The band
played straight rock, covering songs like ..D of 'Yer M' aker" and
"Moby Dick" of Led Zeppelin as well as performing own song material.
A
new sound showed up and overnight bands such as " Guns'n Roses ' had
brought back the ..rock..n roll.. feel to the young generation. Cat was
enthusiastic and felt confirmed in her musical career and she
persistently developed her song writing skills. Her parent..s favourite
60..s and 70..s music had a strong impact on her and she explored the
outstanding features of rock music and its wide range of expression
perfectly reflecting her temperament. Especially those legendary bands
like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, David Coverdale and Dio - only to name
some - appealed to her. Bands, which not only convinced by their
special music, but even more by those unique and powerful voices. And
it is not surprising that she identified with these ..spirits &
vibes...
Especially Cat..s favourite band "Deep Purple" had a
major influence on her further artistic development. More precisely: an
album from the time when Glen Hughes performed simultaneously as a
singer and bass player. This performance left a deep imprint on the
young artist and she decided to go for learning to play the bass and
sing in parallel. After relocating to Northern Germany, Cat
persistently tackles her musical career. Playing solo with her acoustic
guitar and a small PA or together with her band mates, she becomes a
highly appreciated performing artist in clubs and pubs in e.g. Hamburg,
Wilhelmshaven, Flensburg or on the islands Amrum, Föhr and Sylt. And
very soon succeeds to change the ..pizza and beer.. payment into
professional fees.
In parallel the work for Cat's own rock
project progressed by forming a songwriter team with Clark Philips and
Mary Susan Applegate who all together excessively indulge their passion
for rock. The result of this cooperation: ..Souvenirs... 12 outstanding
songs that celebrate the rebound of rock .. enjoy it!
First
Child debut album ..Souvenirs.. was released mid of February in
Germany, Austria & Switzerland (distributed by ..Twilight..) and
will soon be released in other European countries | | |

| What I have learned from CamegieSo many years I have always worried about those things that maybe happen in the future.So I want a steady situation everywhere and everwhen.And then I hope to antipate everything, in my life,which will take place.That is that bring me a lot of trouble in my mind which distract my disicion.Now Camegie says,that firstly get a clear idea of the matter without feeling involved in.Sometimes we trid to get methods from various ways prior to thinking over the question.Well-o-Well,I get the results on the condition that 2+2=5.So the results never will be got.

| give up or persistI saw my friend off on the train for his hometown yestoday.Dated from last year at that time he came here with me and a good future was expected.We had a promise that we would not withdraw from Shenzhen unless we got a great fortune.Now,over a year,he could not bear this stiuation and choose to give in.Maybe he will come back again and enjoy a comfortable,steady,no pain or surprise life.Ventures will disappear in his mind.I said to myself for many times,that I will be looked down by others if I fail.Though the saying"if you want to succeed you need to work hard"supply me the reasoning to stay here,the feeling of scare of faiture always appear in my mind.I start to question myself,right or wrong,leave or stay.
