| So here's what's on the table - MySpace or Xanga. If I'm gunna do
something, I'm gunna do it right. The reason My Xanga hasn't received
it's due attention in recent weeks are threefold - A. I've felt so
totally busy and tired that I rarely find myself up anymore at 2:30 am
when I used to write in it, and if I am still up I'm desperately trying
to get something done so I can go to bed ASAP. 2. MySpace seems to be
where the action is - Xanga's activity has waned... and D. I find
myself checking my MySpace more often than my Xanga.
So, what do you think? Sometimes in life we're called to committment,
I tend to fear it, but perhaps this is one of those times where I need
to make a leap of faith and not look back. I'm going to post this on both
my Xanga and MySpace so I can get a response from both crowds. Where should
my loyalty lie? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
PS. This is especially heart-wretching as I just realized that today is my one year anniversary with Xanga... ouch...

| Okay, so it's been awhile. And between you and me, I'm considering making a big change in my life... going solely MySpace. Rest assured, this is not a decision that I'm taking lightly. Still not ready to commit... we'll see.
On a serious note, for you praying folk out there - please pray for my grandma. She was admitted to the hospital today... not sure how serious it is yet. We're super close and so I'm a bit nervous. She knows and loves the Lord, so that's all good... it's just scarey is all. Thanks, I'm sure she'd appreciate it, and so do I!

| So tomorrow is my first day as the Youth Director at Level Green Presbyterian Church! I'm anxious for it all to finally start since we've been talking about this idea for many months. It's going to be a different kind of challenge for me, and I'm pretty excited about trying something new. One way or another, God is good, and I just get to communicate that to a whole new audience - let's roll.
For those of you that haven't heard, that does mean that I'm moving! Good-bye peeping tom, hello 3 bedroom house :) Pretty excited about that fact! Although I don't consider myself an emotional person from day to day, I am pretty sentimental. And I guess I hadn't realized how much Penn Hills/ Oakmont/ Verona had become home, so it's weird to me to think of leaving this area... not that I'm moving that far, but still. There was always a part of me that wanted to just settle down here (especially on 13th St. in Oakmont in my blue house with Vince Vaughn, right Becca?) and stay here forever. That would have suited me just fine. But often times, our plans are not God's plans and although we don't know the reasons for what He's got for us, He always knows best, so I'll take it everytime. So for you praying folk out there, I'd love your prayers as I start this new job/ life. And for you strong folk out there, I'd love your help on moving day :) Maybe next week? I'll let you know.
All of that stuff aside, I ain't leaving Riverview YL quite yet! Club is gunna keep rolling on - look for Feb. 14 to be the first Club of the semester. Valentine's Day, I know... so bring your Valentine - it's a cheap date :) And also look for Riverview Campaigners (Bible study) to be starting up soon - let me know if you'd be interested. It'll probably be at my soon-to-be vacant apartment and it'll definitely be a great time.
GO STEELERS!!

| Some highlights of the past week or so…
Saw Madonna’s sister, Melanie Ciccone, at our Christmas Eve service. She’s married to a grammy winning songwriter, Joe Henry, whose mom goes to my family’s church. Way cool. I was astonished by her appearance – it’s obvious by looking at her how much work Madonna has had done. Check out this article if you want -

Got my family, high school friends, and college friends fix. Got to spend time with all these folks and it was fantastic. I love them all so much and it makes me sad that I don’t get to spend as much time with them as I would like.
And now that life is seemingly settling back down, it looks like the winds of change are in the air. More to this end later…
I can’t get enough of the shows I got on DVD for Christmas - Season 3 of Will & Grace, Season 5 of Seinfeld, and Volume 3 of Family Guy. I’m also on a SNL Best of Will Ferrell kick – “You don’t talk to me like that!” | | |
