  • So much has happened since the last time I posted.

I got a job at the hospital here. I am a secretary for the IS dept. I am very thankful to have the job. My brother left for Honor Academy at the beginning of the month. It has actually been really hard for me to let him go but I know and he know that's where God wants him. He works in the ATF call center. I think he will be an excellent caller.

Life has definitely changed. I see my family about once a week and now with my job everything is super busy. Tommy and I have made some really great friends here and hope to make more. We go to a church called Eagle Heights and it is definitely an answer to prayer. The church is full of love and everyone there loves to serve. It is great. It truly does feel like home here. I am really enjoying married life!

Tommy and I also started school again. We are doing distance learning through Christian Leadership University. We are taking our first course and so far it is awesome. We are excited to learn and see where God brings us from here. One step closer to fulfilling His purpose for our lives. I am going for christian counseling. Our first course we are taking right now is Hearing God's Voice. The four keys are stillness, vision, spontaneity, and journaling. I desperately want to learn to hear God's voice. I am so glad that Tommy and I are doing school together.

Well if you live in the Lindale/Garden Valley/ Tyler area we might be coming your way. Tropical Storm Gustav is about to enter the gulf and if it is projected to hit anywhere around here we are going to Texas. So keep an eye out for Tommy and I.

  • Our new life has begun.
It is great to be a wife and to have the best husband in the world!
The wedding went wonderful and I could not have asked for more. Everything was beautiful and I couldn't stop smiling from the moment I saw Tommy till the end of the night.
Our honeymoon was so relaxing. We went to Seacrest, FL and soaked up the sun. Our condo was right on the beach. We went out on the beach with a kite and boogie board and had a blast. One day we rented bikes and on another we went sailing. The town we were staying in was like a little community with cute shops and cafe's. We really didn't want to hurry home.

Now we are getting settled in to our apartment and enjoying living life together. I am still looking for a job or even something I can work from home with. Tommy has such a creative mind. We are trying to think of new business ideas together. Only God knows what we will be up to next. I can't wait to find out.

Here are just a few pictures of the wedding day but I will post more as soon as I can.

I don't have any of Tommy and I together yet. Soon! Very soon!

  • 23 days and counting!

I am counting down the days. Counting down the days until I will be Mrs. Albrado! My mind is so full right now that I really have to focus in on peace in this time.

And in the busyness of everyday my God hears our prayers and things are falling into place.

As mentioned previously... we have an apartment. We also bought a couch and a washer and dryer (my first two request :) We have been beyond blessed at our showers and the apartment is full of all the necessary items we will need to live. I am already kicking into wife mode in some sense because when we were setting it all up all I wanted to do was hang out in the kitchen and plug the vacuum in to tidy up a bit. I hope that entusiasm stays for a while. It is all so different when you are responsible for your own space.
Living life with Tommy will definitely be refreshing!

I've been in my room packing most of the night and I think that's what most of the weekend will hold. We are tying up loose ends for the wedding and patiently (well most of the time patiently) awaiting the big day. I know that the last couple of posts have been about the wedding but that is my life right now... planning and preparation for the beginning of the rest of our lives. Yay!

    God bless.

  • Our home sweet home

Some of the most exciting news yet.

Tommy and I have an apartment!!! We are so excited. It is perfect. It is the cutest place. Now we have to fill is with furniture and all that good stuff, but we still have two more months for that. One step closer to the big day!

I also went fishing the other day. I haven't been fishing since I was little. Tommy and I went with some friends to a pond. I caught like a billion fish. Ok maybe that was a little exaggerated but we did catch a lot of perch. I touched a fish for the first time. Ewww, but I looked like a natural unhooking them and throwing them back by the end of the day. Haha. Hung out in the kayaks too! We have to get one of those. They are too cool. It was a beautiful day to go outdoors and relax.
