i rode a double century this weekend and it kicked my ass. this wasn't a race but a test of strength. i rode to knoxville on friday and rode back on sunday. it took about 6 and a half hours the first time and 6 hours 15minutes the second time. my ass is killing me and the neck doesn't want to move but the legs are fine. 11E isn't too bad of a road until it gets dark and then it just gets shitty. well, i'm tired so i shall go to bed now

the end of a glorious weekend came today with my obligation to be in class. just to add to my unknown presence in kingsport i chose to go to knoxville on wednesday night and not have to back til last night. within my stay in knoxville i was able to attend my friend bill's last booze n cruze, acquire 2 bikes to weld together a tandem, eat at chandlier's (best everything fried kinda place), place 3rd in an alleycat race with 40 plus riders, and manage to spend every last dollar on diesel to get home. good times. oh, i saw santiago for the first time in years it seems. my mom seems willing to pay for the conversion to run waste cooking oil in the jetta so french fry exhaust will soon be the delight of my day. does anyone know of any good job openings? i'm down to donating plasma pretty soon.

it has been quite a while since an update on this thing and an even longer time since i've seen or hung out with those who still use xanga. i am glad to inform you that i now live back home in the kingsport. i shall now review parts of my life that maybe you know since i've lost contact:

i am constantly poor
i use my car very little and rely on bike for transportation
i try to go mountain biking every weekend
i still prefer pbr over most "fancy" beers
i am currently dating a girl that lives in knoxville named shelagh (if gone on weekends, this is why)
i worked at a restaurant called the tomato head
i plan to graduate sometime in the next couple years
i have not been to a bonfire or been fishing in quite some time (this should change)
i do not watch tv

good day

well, i have found a wireless "hot spot" in my apartment again and all the joy of internet has come back. in recent news i am on the verge of moving, but the lack of funds to warrant such a move are an imminent road block to cheaper rent. i saw a downtown crit yesterday which was pretty badass. going as fast as you can for so many laps around a couple of blocks is quite inspiring. the thought of selling my car to buy a sweet ass bike crossed my mind, but then i would have to give up my sweet ass car, dilemma. also in recent bike news, i traveled to atlanta for the faster mustache 24 hour alleycat race. that was the most fun i've had on a bicycle so far. 15 mile route, 200 riders, 24 hours of drinking, and making traffic your bitch sums up the event. 2 beers were added to my favorites at this race too: sweetwater 420 and black label

the campsite.....*steel reserve was purchased as a last resort
