Just so you know, we are talking about how pirating music effects your lives (in no way what so ever). Incase you have never heard of media pirating (probably because you have been living in a cave) it is where a person takes copywrighted media (such as music or movies) and downloads them illegally. Some say that it is not a problem because the artists are rich enough already without wining a ton of lawsuits off piraters. This however is not necessarily true. Due to pirating over half of begging music writers dont sell as many CDs as they should because of illegal downloading, so they make an income of that of a grocery clerk. Then when they have to pay producers for making the CD they actulally can go into debt. Not cool. There also is the view of the pirater. The music is fair game as soon as it it bought by one person. Then that person has all rights to do whatever the hell (excuse my french) he/she wants to do with it. Including put it on the internet for others to download. Now, those of you who are worrying about getting caught, FORGET ABOUT IT. The only people being sued by the music industry right now are those who share thousands of files. If you have under 800 media files and dont connect with the network for others to get your files (sharing) you should be safe for the next 10 years or so. Ill keep you updated. NOT. Anyways, overall downloading music from a program like Kazza is a smart idea. It saves you alot of money and if you keep yourself on the down-low you should be pretty safe too. Not exactly the good semaritin thing to do but oh well. Were not all perfect. If you want check out these sites for downloading programs to get free music and media...
