FUN EXPERIENCE NEWS FROM BRAZIL

For Mother's Day, Elder Yorel4 called home from Brazil for a chat with is mother, and the rest of the family. He is now down to less than three months remaining on his mission before returning home to the USA. What he didn't tell anyone about was this conversation he had with his mission president a few weeks ago. This just came to the Yorel email bag today:

In my last interview with (the mission president), at the end he just looked at me and paused and said, "Elder Yorel4, I have a challenge for you. You go home in August, right? So that´s 3 1/2 months. I have no right to give you this challenge, but I´m going to..." (then he waited for about 2 minutues)

"Lose ten kilos." So... I have to lose ten kilos. That's 22 lbs. I've gained a little bit of weight down here in Brazil and now I have to lose it all. I think I'm making a little progress. I've probably lost about 2 kilos already. But yeah, that was my fun experience in my interview with president.

Eliomar was subsequently ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood and then baptized his wife and son.

Elder Yorel4 does look a little chunky there, doesn't he? Lots of good food in Brazil!
