| i'm back on xanga again, almost 7 months after my last post, but trust me, i wont be here for long...
talking to someone about love, here was roughly the conversation
someone: what do you think true love is? me: people have been asking that question since the beginning of time right? someone: well for me, true love is when you go beyond yourself me: ?! someone: so that means, you gotta love her more than you love yourself, cuz if you love yourself more, you become selfish, and that way your relationship wont last me: ok... i think i've learned something new
now wait for another half a year before i post again

| Fishing with a "straight hook"a "straight hook" doesnt really make any sense, its essentially a
needle, and fish dont get caught on needles, so, you're "fishing for
the willing" (some chinese wisdom)
when a fish comes across your "hook", it decides whether it is gonna be
hooked or not (by your straight hook, i.e. needle), and its decision
may depend on a lot of things. if your "hook" is clean, it may more
likely be attracted and "hook on"; if your hook is dirty, it may look
for another hook; if your hook looks like one that has it has
previously been "hooked onto" and had a bad experience, it may swim
away; and so on. so when a fish "rejects" your hook, you may want to
improve your "hook" so the next fish that you wish to fish might be
more interested.
however, when the fish you're interested in is already "hooked" to
another "hook", all you can do is hope that your "hook" is better and
the fish will let go of its current one and "hook onto" yours. if it
doesn't let go, there really isn't much you can do.
the worst part is sometimes your "rival hook" is dirty and rusty, and
any other fish wouldve let go, but this fish of your interest seems to
not notice these things, but instead likes to keep "hooked on" just
because it is use to the "hook"
what do you do here? nothing, but wait, and hope that the fish will
soon realise that you have a nicer hook. that's pretty much all you can
do...
i tried asking a girl out the other day... let's leave it here...
the chinese culture contains so much wisdom, i just hope the world was simpler
| Achilles' Heel"Achilles' mother, Thetis, had dipped the infant Achilles in the river
Styx, holding onto him by his heel, and he became invulnerable where
the waters touched him -- that is, everywhere but the areas covered by
her thumb and forefinger -- implying that only a heel wound could have
been his downfall.
"Achilles died from a heel wound as the result of an arrow - possibly poisoned - fired by Paris."
Everyone has an Achilles' Heel, and it is important to, while
developing our strengths, discover and protect our Achilles' Heel, so
all that strength on top wouldn't be let down by a weak heel.
Few months ago, my godfather asked me to identify my own Achilles'
Heel, and i couldn't give him an answer then, now i know exactly where
that heel is. But what do i do with it? If i'm good enough to protect
my Achilles' Heel, wouldn't that mean i'm invincible? Men cannot be
invincible!
Recently, another arrow hit my heel, and because it is my Achilles'
Heel, it takes much more time to recover than anything else. I know
where my weak link is, but i don't know where to find that missing link
to strengthen it...
Maybe that link lies in someone else, and before i find that someone else, my heel would stay vulnerable to anything...
P.S. i'm not gonna say what my Achilles' Heel is, for obvious reasons.
| things need to be thought over...
this long dream probably lost its momentum a year ago, but seems like its might not be as dead as i thought it was, all i have to do maybe is to make some moves, then i will find out whether it can come true or not.
this has always been my problem, not motivated to make the first move, but you showed me that sometimes you're the one who makes the decisions, not me, so please if you would, make this decision for me.
its like trying to switch your suit in the middle of a mahjong game, gotta be done asap
