| | My life is crazy busy right now.
I'm writing a paper on homeless people and the public library. Power quote: "If we wish to shield our eyes and noses from the homeless,
we should revoke their condition, not their library cards" – Judge H. Lee
Sarokin
My dad and Julie are coming to visit this weekend! Woot! How much work will I get done on that paper this weekend? I predict 0%
I'm still trying to work out the details of my independent study/internship with the GLBT Office. It would be great but I just need someone to tell me what I need to sign up for to get my three freakin credits. Haven't even started thinking about my fall schedule because it makes my brain hurt.
Supposed to pick Brady up at the airport at 10 on the 15th. Need more details on his stay. So excited!!!
We took the cats to the vet today. Saffie cowered and Aid peed on Di. It was a great start to the day. Too bad there is no such thing as sarcasm font.
Speaking of the GLBT, with the drama from the cataloging mishap, I am way behind on cataloging fiction. Like I am about 1/3 of what I need to get done before classes start on August 27th. There may need to be a cataloging party...
I'm coming home August 19th-26th, which will be fun, but my mom is already bitching about having to split time with my dad. She thinks that since my dad is coming to see me, she shouldn't have to share me when I'm home. Apparently her being too lazy and apathetic to see where I live should be rewarded. Oh this gonna be fun. Vegas odds that she will make me cry before the week is up - 1:2
I have three tomatos on my tomato plant, four cucumbers, a shit ton of parsley, and a dying bean plant. And tons of zinnias. Yey gardening.
Possibly going to Mammoth Caves on the 10th. Still unclear. Or Holiday World. Still unclear.
I made homemade from scratch red sauce with ground chicken for spaghetti last night and it rocked the house. The secret is soaking the ground chicken in some white wine beforehand (helps it stay moist) and two pinches of cinnamon in the sauce. Mock not, but everyone who tried it (5 people) LOVED it. I might type up a formal recipe in my non-existent free time.
Read all of Harry Potter 7 in less than 24 hours and it rocked my world. Some people hated the epilogue, but those people suck because the epilogue rocked.
Diana was gone all weekend, up in Kenosha, and her family got two new kittens that I am so excited to see. KITTENS!!!
It's sad that I'm actually excited for September, because then the craziness of August will be OVER.
