These are poems I wrote when I was in 2nd grade for a school assignment. And they're dedicated to Kaity.
Roses are red, violets are blue.
Geezers are old, babies are new.
Forks are for food, food is for eating.
Parents bore themselves by going to meetings.
My parents are 100, my sister is 1.
Kids have good times, parents have none.
Girls like pink, boys like green.
As someone said "Children should be heard not seen.
Elephants are big, mice are tiny.
Little brothers and sisters are very, very whiney.
So long for now, see you tomorrow.
As Shakespeare said "Parting is such sweet sorrow."
[I know one line is backwards, but what can I say, I was 8 years old.]
Roses are red, violets are blue.
Sugar is sweet, candy too.
Blue is a color of when your sad.
Red is a color of when your mad.
Giants stomp people into the ground.
A ferris wheel goes around, and round.
Drapes go on windows and door knobs on doors.
Kid siblings are very hard to ignore.
Mad dog! Mad cat!
Rabies racoon! Rabies rat!
Summer is hot, winter is cold.
That green stuff on your bread is called mold.
Videos are short, movies are long.
Lots of stuff is made in Taiwan.
You weave baskets, I'll braid rope.
A poem written by me has no hope.
