still one of my favourite songs. flowers makes the whole room look a whole lot brighter. watching them wither and die is so very sad indeed. the flowers bring much meaning because they are from the girls that ive been discipling/sharing my life with this semester :) i just woke daddy up to kill a huge cockroach in my room. i am very traumatised and im spraying shieldtox at almost every possible corner of the room. oh God, why did you make cockroaches? im glad i can wake my daddy up to kill the cockroach while i sit on the chair and say useless stuff like "have you killed it yet". -.- okay instead of sleeping im gonna throw a million things out of my room. and i think i lied when i said i am not afraid of cockroaches.

winn says the postcard was not something to be really excited about. that's true but it came all the way from nippon land! and half of it is written in Japanese. cools siazzssxxsszz. and the pictures we took on saturday; crazily more than this. i test test the collage.

For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret( ppl who walk in the light dont speak of other ppl's bad deeds). But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says:

"Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.""(Eph 5:8-14)

" I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life" (John 8:12)

"that you may become blameless and harmless children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.."( Phillipians 2:15)

darkness and light never go together. there was no compromise between light and dark. you cant walk in the light and have darkness around. praise God we have light through Jesus. and whoever follows Him shall not walk in darkness but walk and have light. the word of God does not say whoever believes in Him shall have light but whoever follows Him. it's so clear, to follow Him and to walk in the light. we are not called to just believe but we are called to follow. why? because we are called to shine as lights in this crooked and perverse world where justice and righteousness do not prevail. if Father God called us to just fellowship with Him while we are here on this earth, He would have brought us back to heaven a long time ago. but He has called us to shine in this world, to be lightbearers, to be a testimony, to be witnesses and to bring the gospel to places where darkness prevail. in this season, Daddy's teaching me: no compromise, no blending in. and He has brought me back to 268generation.com to listen to Louie Gigglio's online sermons. and everything he's been saying has hit home. i dont know how many times You need to drill this into me but please drill it because all i do not want to do is to miss out on what You've called me to do with my life here on earth.

we need to wake up because compromise is not found in the word of God.

our hearts sank when: the group before us presented on the exact same case-study we picked. out of a million cases, they picked the singapore police force. i overheard someone saying he should go buy 4D. 0.0 we couldnt even present properly.

it was funny when: my grandmother and my grandfather clapped superloudly and tried to sing the happy birthday in english for my cousin. they were so cute! i like to talk to my grandmother. i feel like i can tell her anything. if only my teochew was better.

it was heartwarming when: my sister bought me a early birthday present: mechanical pencil using her pocket money. :))) she bought for my cousin too but he rejected it! cos he thought it was some laoyapok pencil from her pencil case. i almost kicked him.

it felt so good when: me jess and angie sat in angi's room to talk and laugh and drink milo dinosaur made by aunti tng today. it felt right. it felt good. and me and angi are very happy with our big bag of snacks from indonesia :)

yesterday was rather random. we went to eat bakuteh at clarkquay(havelock's a million times better i think) and then we randomly took a boat(free ride) to the Singapore flyer and back. the night scenery, the buildings, the lights and the wind did me some good.

I think it's final year syndrome time. I think im at the stage where im trying to stall for as much time as possible. it's as though all these years of education have been there to stall time while I find out and discover what to do in the 'future'. I pray my eyes would just focus on You Jesus. I pray I will not be weak to value safety over your kingdom's cause. I pray I would just be so consumed by You and what's in Your heart. I pray that I will be as confident as the Psalmist who says "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God in Him I will trust." I pray that I will choose Your ways and not mine. It's difficult when there are many issues to consider.

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!"(Matt 6:22-34)

I was led to this verse a couple of weeks ago. But I was led to the verse found in Luke 11:33 instead of Mathew 6. Indeed it reminded me so much that the eye is for looking and seeing. if you're looking through your own eyes, stricken with astism, myopia, long-sightednes or shortsightedness, your eye is never going to be a lamp for your body. Your body literally will walk in darkness and bump into things here and there or simply just look at the things or circumstances around you and before you. But if you try to see things in His way through HIS eyes, your eye will be good, it will be clear. I will see His goodness in the place where I am now. I will see His providence in my future. I will see His heart. I will see His love and strength. I will see His power and grace. If my eye is good, if my eye is set on the things that are above and not on things on the earth, it is really a different view all together. like what T.D. Jakes would say, 'a whole -nother level'.

Yesterday I was led to this similar verse again in Matthew 6, and as I look down the chapter I am comforted with what My God says in Matt 6:25-34 to look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet my heavenly Father feed them; and to consider the lilies of the field, how they grow.

what i see is where i will go. what i see will determine which paths i will take. it will become clearer as we seek to please You in all our ways. as we choose Your will and not ours. as we choose to look at things through Your eyes.

3) my 8am lecture was so sleep-inducing i almost fell off the chair

4) my sissy wants me to buy her a children's day present

5) i am jealous that winn is in tokyo

6) i want to go to tokyo

there's a fire

i had my first disciple group meeting today. God put discipleship in my heart quite some time ago. Ive always wanted to disciple ever since i heard from God but never quite got down to doing it. not even with discipling the girls at cell group. Im glad for this opportunity to do so now. i really enjoyed myself. i thank God for the three girls God has put under my 'care'. i love their hearts. i love how their hearts hunger for God. i am humbled and encouraged as well. it seems as though im taking 'too' many things this semester. but when i look at all the things im taking up, im excited about it actually. im excited because ive always wanted to disciple, im excited because ive always wanted to learn more about discipleship and to serve in school. so im glad for these opportunities. i love how God is so timely.

"And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people." Exodus 13:21

Everyone wants to enjoy God's glory but few are eager to be pursued by His fire. But if you want to be led by the glory in the light of day where all can see you, then the fire of God is going to have to chase you in the dark places of your life. The fire of God will burn the garbage out of your life. Fire devours all impurities and leaves all that remains on fire for God's glory.- Knowing God intimately

"I indeed baptize you in (with) water because of repentance [ that is, because of your changing your minds for the better, heartily amending your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins]. But He Who is coming after me is mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy or fit to take off or carry; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

His winnowing fan (shovel, fork) is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear out and clean His threshing floor and gather and store His wheat in His barn, but the chaff He will burn up with fire that cannot be put out." Matt 3:11-12
