i went again today and it was great. this week i have a few things i need to accomplish:
change my major (get out of psychology)
figure out what i'm doing for halloween - honestly, i do not want to spend money on a costume and everyone i've talked do does not even have halloween plans... it's interesting because those same people are talking about what they plan on being on halloween. i've kind of noticed that with the avid partiers; most of the time, they just sit around in their "going out" clothes until one of them gets a call giving them something to do or the clock hits 11:45(ish); whichever one comes first. i wouldn't mind finding a haunted house that night. maybe dinner and a horror flick? maybe.
get organized - my desk/drawers/closet/backapack, etc. i'll take some time to get that done.
call the housing office and get some information about re-locating - you know, it's just getting to that point. maybe i'm just having a bad night. but when i think about everything that's been going on since the second day, i think it's about time to atleast get some information.
I'm sure there are more things i need to get done, but those are the most pressing tasks right now.

eh so blogger...turns out there are flaws. did you know that you can't delete your blogger account if you want to? they say that you can just delete all of your posts and change your personal information to false information but who really wants to do that? there are a few other aspects about it that i do not like too so we'll see.
i can't believe i'm actually contemplating this.
anyway, i met a friend through a friend who listens to The Weepies and she has Hideaway, and when I asked her to email me the CD, she said "yes", so now I have Hideaway. Every song is gold. The Weepies are a close second to Death Cab.

i've been exploring blogger. i kind of like it better. blogger seems to have a more mature aura to it and i like that. i feel like xanga is just a bunch of horny teens writing about their days of going to school, and hating it, and having life changing experiences at the local mall, which is fine. And who says that I won't have a life changing experience at the mall and blog about it on blogger. i don't know. i just like blogger better and it hosts a more diverse audience.
soi just i might switch here pretty soon. no worries, i'll post a link to my new site. that is if i actually switch.
i woke up around 9am, feeling good because i had the best night's sleep in a couple of days. so as i sat in my bed, thinking about all of the things i have to do today, i randomly made the decision that i was going to go to the rec and swim laps. i haven't swum laps in years so i figured 'what the heck.' i'm glad i did because it ended up being an excellent workout. i got out tired, but it was a good tired. my plan now is to be in the pool at least 3 times a week until i die. we'll see how that goes.
i was surfing the web earlier today and i found this:
i would be offended if it had not been for the the title The New Yorker above Barack's turban and Michelle's 'fro. this is obviously meant to be a satirical statement regarding the ignorant and outrageous criticism that the Obama's get from a handful of Americans (along with those who still think he is Muslim?). apparently, there were people who took the cover as an attack on the pair, and i can see why. but as i came across the cover, i found this, which in my opinion gives a great analysis of it.
my english professor showed this to us yesterday:
i mean, it's pretty sad to say the least. but we have to keep in mind that most people are better than this. the 2008 election is a little over a week away. can you believe it?
