When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires will come to you.If your heart is in your dream no request is too extreme, when you wish upon a star as dreamers do.

I miss it so much....

I'll never be the same...

everything just pales in comparison...

so many amazing things happened...I just can't describe what a loss I feel since I have left "home"...it seems overdramatic..and it is...I know...but a part of me is still there...

It was everything I ever dreamt of...and more than I could have ever imagined...my life is forever changed and will never ever be the same.

Thankyou Walt and Roy Disney for building a dream.

I always wondered what it's like outside of Oklahoma....

now i know....

Just wanted to impress upon anyone and everyone who reads this that prejudices are not a good thing....

distinguishing one person from another based on gender, race or ethnic background is not ok either...

if you make a reference to a stereotype or even simply mention a name that is commonly thought of as crude or disrespectful (for whatever reason) toward a person...that is REALLY not ok.

I am really sorry if this is not like "happy-go-lucky" me....(but no worries I am actually happy and can't wait to come home and see everyone that I love).

In the breakroom at DISNEY someone made mention of an old "nickname" (if you will) for a person or, in their case, a group of people seemingly from the same ethnic background...I had never heard of this name and was absolutely shocked when I asked what it was.

I NEVER EVER want to hear ANYONE say any other "dead" nicknames...and don't try to pass it off like it's part of your everyday speech simply because you grew up with it...if you know people are uncomfortable with a word or reference don't say it...because you know it's wrong...you're just trying to tell yourself that you aren't racially prejudiced.

I find it so hard to believe that people with "Go Jesus" and "I love the Lord" bumper stickers are the same people that use these awful names....isn't that just a little odd?

Didn't Jesus love everyone? no matter what?

Whatever happened to WWJD? No really...not just the trendy wristbands....

but really think about it...what WOULD Jesus do? isn't he the very same person that sat in communion with those that the society wouldn't? Isn't it he that took the time to sit with the children and talk?

so why don't we take a clue from the person who is supposed to be our teacher? Rabbi, brother, son, follower of God....however you choose to acknowledge a person is not the point (I appologize if this seems religiously biased...because that's not it).

Learn from those who are the peacemakers and teachers...if we're so concerned with world peace why don't we actually do something about it and stop prejudices (not just racial)?

Orlando, if nothing else has been quite an education...for that, I am thankful...and sorry in the same that I found out people are dishonest, rude and unconcerned with anyone but themselves...

Send some rain, would You send some rain?
'Cause the earth is dry and needs to drink again
And the sun is high and we are sinking in the shade
Would You send a cloud, thunder long and loud?
Let the sky grow black and send some mercy down
Surely You can see that we are thirsty and afraid
But maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .

We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to thirst for You
How to bless the very sun that warms our face
If You never send us rain

Daily bread, give us daily bread
Bless our bodies, keep our children fed
Fill our cups, then fill them up again tonight
Wrap us up and warm us through
Tucked away beneath our sturdy roofs
Let us slumber safe from danger's view this time

Or maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . .

We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
A lesson learned to hunger after You
That a starry sky offers a better view if no roof is overhead And if we never taste that bread

Oh, the differences that often are between
What we want and what we really need

So grant us peace, Jesus, grant us peace
Move our hearts to hear a single beat
Between alibis and enemies tonight

Or maybe not, not today
Peace might be another world away
And if that's the case . . .

We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to trust in You
That we are blessed beyond what we could ever dream
In abundance or in need
And if You never grant us peace

But Jesus, would You please . . .

("Gratitude" by Nicole Nordeman)

Just stuff I have been thinkin about.  I have caught myself complaining about small stuff that doesn't even matter, and then I get to thinking how I should feel blessed for everything that I have been given...because none of it should be "expected" but graciously accepted as a gift that some others might not get.

Not everyone gets the opportunities we do, not everyone has all the luxeries of our modern lifestyle: a roof over their heads, food to eat...and some won't live to see thier 10th birthday.

some people won't ever know how it is to walk down the halls of a school, so many more will never experience college (not by choice)...

I always want more...and pray that the Lord let me have "one more opportunity", once I get that opportunity I ask for another...

I am trying to find the blessings in what I have...

I'm not perfect, I am human, I make mistakes....but I'm willing to grow.
