The Fear.

It is as if Death knocks on my door. No, not Death, Emptiness. Yes. Worse than Death is Emptiness.

Fear gets to me when I try to reach beyond my perception (perhaps to arrive at some Greater Understanding) and then find that I enter yet another realm of my pitiful perception. That realm is bounded by another, and another... I run aimlessly away from the center of an expanding sphere.

Then I realize, what a fallacy?! to think that I, a human, can see beyond human perception. Such conceitedness! What arrogance!

I lose my bearing in this large sphere.

THAT is Emptiness.

And it haunts me so.

The glass is broken; warm water runs:
Old boundaries overcome by new substance.
One upon another,
Successor augments the predecessor.

The future is now; now is future:
Dark presence penetrated by fearless light.
Minute upon minute,
Emotion displaces the emotionless.

I've resolved in my mind; I've resolved in speaking; I've resolved in writing; I've resolved... I've resolved more... I've resolved more strongly -- against this lurking evil -- yet, in the most trying times, I succumb.

My lab report, my history paper, my phone bill, my DMV appointment, my math problem set, office hours, even watering my plant, and now, my English paper...

6 days, two-and-a-half, 10 hours, three, 50 minutes, ten...

It is time.

"No, I still have time."

NO! It is time.

It is time I stop procrastinating.

Didn't take long to set this up.
