Peter: I want always to be a boy, and have fun.
Wendy: You say so, but I think it is your biggest pretend.

i'm not addicted to movies
or imdb
or rotten tomatoes.

wait, i lied. i am.

and a new found addiction is reading the rotten tomatoes reviews for really really bad movies. today's choices are norbit and ghostrider.

NORBIT:

Surely some humanitarian organization will recognize the selflessness with which Murphy has taken three of the movie's major roles, thus saving two other actors from a nasty black mark on their résumés.

It probably isn't possible for a single movie to reverse all social progress made since the civil-rights era, but Norbit, the latest broadside from Eddie Murphy, does its best to turn back the clock.

GHOSTRIDER:

For years scientists have theorized that one day Nicolas Cage would overact so badly that his head would burst into flames. Now, with Ghost Rider, the phenomenon has finally come to pass

I kept hoping the Scooby Doo gang would come out, rip the mask off of Cage and reveal Ghost Rider really is crazy old man Ben Affleck! That would explain so much.

i hope those made you laugh.
today we saw music and lyrics.
it was exactly what i expected and i very much so enjoyed it. and i laughed real hard.
because hugh grant in tight pants dancing to 80's pop music - fabulous.

remember a really long time ago when we went and saw copeland, and appleseed cast, and owen? ya, i remember.

anyways, i had a story and some lyrics from that night
and i forgot to ever put them up
until i heard the song today and it all came back to me
[sort of like desmond in LOST, but not as spooky]

so lets set this up a little
just like at any place
there are normal people
and then there are the people who really really want to get noticed
and this concert, there were lots of the latter - you know the type.

and then owen comes out, is hilarious, and sings this song:

free beer
and basement shows
don't mean you've made it
it's what you do
not who you were, what you wear, where you've been
so do something

whoever you think is watching you dance
from across the room
they aren't
if anything, they feel sorry for you
'cause you try so hard

thats not the whole song. but its the part that makes me laugh.
i know xanga is dead, but i'm going to pretend its still cool and write on it.
