so karen and i went to the iowa state fair.....they had a life sized cow made out of butter.  crazy.

David Crowder Band was awesome, great worship.  Mercyme was alright, I guess.  Then the man himself played....he did a bunch of worship songs that he didn't write like Breathe and Above all.

Mercyme played with him on the last few songs, and the encore was Open the Eyes of my Heart.   David Crowder came out for that one, too, so that was pretty cool.  He didn't even have a mic, he just kinda danced around, it was pretty cool.

Now we're home, and Allen and Joel should be back in Joplin soon.  Hopefully shows and finished demos will be soon to follow.

hey, guys, news.   countdown to MICHAEL W. SMITH/David Crowder Band/mercy me is down to one day.

I'm pretty stoked......of course the elders at the church decided they didn't want us full time....kinda disappointing.  But God must have something better.

Welcome to the Texas County Fair!!!  Karen and I drove down to Houston, MO for the event.  If you don't smoke, drink, or feel an irresistable urge to wear something that you should under no circumstances wear (or not wear) then I think you have no business at the fair.  Mainly we went because my friend kelley was playing in the country band performing there.  It was fun, though.  We hung out around the fair, and Allen was even there for a little while.  The next day, we hung out with Kelley, and went to see our friend Jason, but he wasn't home, so it was a failed mission.

oh, well, i'm out, take it easy.
