Ugh

I decided to do away with the crazy layouts and whatnot...clean and simple is the way to go, woo! And yeah, I took down the music too, because there's nothing more annoying than having winamp playing and then something starts playing on a page...=_= sorry for annoying you guys. Won't do it again.

First off...my thanks goes to Joey, who, sadly was the only one to answer my call. T_T But still, he answered my call for help! SOS! HELLO?! Thank you soooo much, Joey. >__< I don't even know what to say, except to say that I was really shocked that someone was actually opting to help me.

ACHINA, Nigeria - Born to a family of traditional priests, Ibe Nwigwe converted to Christianity as a boy. Under the sway of born-again fervor as a man, he gathered the paraphernalia of ancestral worship — a centuries-old stool, a metal staff with a wooden handle and the carved figure of a god — and burned them as his pastor watched.

"I had experienced a series of misfortunes and my pastor told me it was because I had not completely broken the covenant with my ancestral idols," the 52-year-old Nwigwe said of the bonfire three years ago. "Now that I have done that, I hope I will be truly liberated."

Generations ago, European colonists and Christian missionaries looted Africa's ancient treasures. Now, Pentecostal Christian evangelists — most of them Africans — are helping wipe out remaining traces of how Africans once worked, played and prayed.

Just saw this on the news (Yahoo, if anyone was wondering), and I am completely in shock. I don't even know what to say, except "Are you bloody out of your mind?!" No offense to all those faithful church-goers, but some of your fellow Christians are, in my not-so-humble opinion, totally off their rockers. I'm sorry, but Jesus...some people take the God thing way tooo seriously.

There was this big thing a while back in Korea of this crazy nutcase who let his daughter die of untreated cancer, because apparently "God will heal my daughter." Fcking idiot. The girl died a few months ago, or so I read in the newspaper, and I just couldn't believe the stupidity of some people.

/end rant

Lol, I can't believe it. I'm actually glad to be in Korea right now. I heard that the temps are wild hot in So Cal right now (almost 100 degrees), while it feels balmy, breezy here, giving me hint of the cold winter that is about to come. Puahaha, suckers!

Anyways..it's time for me to go, but I just thought that I'll be updating more frequently, maybe once or twice a week, just to let you guys know that I'm alive and kicking.

See you!

Help a starving artist?

Okay, so I'm not "exactly" a starving artist, more like a musician, but that's beyond the point.

I've been doing some calculations, factoring my current job...oh. wait.

That's right.

I no longer have a job anymore! =_= BASTARDS!

Basically, long story short, they decided to fire me hire someone else, just because they looked more "white" than I did. What the fuck is that?! Racial discrimination! Here, even in Korea! You have NO idea how disappointed I am, in my own race.

So anyways, yeah, that rather leaves me in the lurch. Or so to speak.

And classes start next week, christ!

And you know how they say, when it rains, it pours? Oh, the makers of that quote had NO idea how right they would be. Because only two days later, my ten year old laptop finally decided to do itself in.

GONE.

MY WORK.

EVERYTHING.

GONE!!!

Okay, okay, okay. I'll be honest. So the stuff on that laptop wasn't Stephan Hawkin material, but it's the fact that I've just lost a laptop that I can ill afford to replace. FRIGGIN f****.

Anyways, I was looking through some used laptops, and some of them are very reasonable. I'm looking through the 300-400 price range, because some of them are very nice and LIGHT, which is a must, since some idiot of the university decided to build the goddamn institute on a MOUNTAIN. =_= Jackass.

So. I'm giving out a call. A dollar, fifty cents, five bucks, even a hundred (huh, dream on, Fionn) dollars. Whatever. Even give me a lint from your pocket and a few quarters to go along with that. I don't care how you do it. You can send it through me by mail, by Paypal, heck, even by Western Union or direct bank transfers.

PAYPAL: fionashin@gmail.com

ADDRESS: will give upon demand

What do you get in return for your generosity and wonderful human-helping spirit? My eternal gratitude, your name carved into the laptop that your money has gone towards, your name in my first book and album, and a bajillion song requests that I'll record for you. But mostly, you will my life-long thanks for helping me out when I needed it the most.

Gah. I don't know what more to say anymore.

Sleep tight and take care, dudes and doodettes.

Hm...OKANE...NAI T_T

I really wish I'd think to write here more often. But anyways, that's beyond the point.

I was doing some budget calculations and this is what I came up with. Basically, I get about 900 something bucks every month to do whatever I want with. That's about half of what I make every month. And then I realized that I had to save up 6000 bucks for school. T_T Omg. That leaves me about $4000 in which I'm supposed to plan 2 round trip flights, one from Korea to Honolulu, and back, and then another one from Honolulu to Los Angeles and then back to Honolulu.

T_T

Just the flights would cost me something around $2000. That means, that I'm only going to have $2000 to spend. That seriously reeks. I need to find more work here.

T_T anyone care to donate for my summer vacation fund?

Sakura Weather...

Weeeellll....no, actually it's not, since sakura only blossoms in early to mid June, and right now, it's the first week of August, woo!

But since I just got through recording Sakura Biyori from BLEACH, I feel in a "sakura-ish" mood right now. It's a really beautiful song by Mai Hoshimura and if you've never heard it, then I suggest you do. :D then you can listen to my version of it, and proclaim how lame I sound, lol.

And for those people who don't know, I've changed my SC page to soundclick.com/hitomitachibana, because this time, I'm for real. No more playing around from now on. Everything I record will be a potential CD product on my demo CD to send to Sony JP and Avex Trax. So, the songs on that account will be a lot more polished, a bit more steady and a lot more vocal...better, I suppose.

So...next subject, while I mix Sakura Biyori.

So! Who read HP 7? I got ripped off. =_= They charged the original hardcover market price here in Korea just because I got it on its release date. I went back the day after release, and found out that they lowered it almost by 10,000 won (10 bucks). ARGH. Ah well. It was worth it, anyways. Rowling "says" that she's completely done with the series, but I dunno...I'd sort of like to know what happens after the end of the book and how they managed to right the Wizarding World and you know, who became the Minister of Magic.

D WAR IS OUT!!! GO SUPPORT OUR KOREAN FILMMAKERS AND WATCH IT AT YOUR LOCAL CINEMA!!! =_= A bit of a shame that Director Shim couldn't get a better lead than Jason Behr, though. Jason's hot, but not a very competant actor in my opinion.

Sakura Biyori...still mixing...>_< Lots and lots of editing to do.

So...does anyone have any requests? It's funny. I collect anime/jpop instrumentals, and I must have at least 3,000 files, but I only know maybe 150 of that amount. O__O There are so many good animes out, but the last one I saw from start to finish from Mai Otome and Ouran Kou Kou. Can anyone recommend some good stuff coming out with girls kicking serious, major boot-y? I'm reading a lot of cooking manga lately, and the one I'm SOO in love with right now is Tenshi no Frying Pan. It's about this kid who's this genius chef and the humor really reminds me of Yakitate JAPAN.

Sakura Biyori...still mixing...whoo

Oh yeah! XD I borrowed the entire 24 books of Slam Dunk manga and read it all within about  3 days. OMG!!! Hanamichi (main character)...I love him muchly. If you like sports/basketball, then this is a MUST READ! After this manga came out, so many people picked up basketball, which I understand completely. XD Made me want to go out and buy a basketball, lol. Then I realized that I was about 5'2 and I'd get squashed on the court...which reminds me of another sports/basketball manga called Sora no Tsubasa, and it's about this TINY kid, only like 148 cm, but one of the aces on his high school basketball team. Gah. SO SWEET! It's actually quite bittersweet, now that I think about it T_T

Sakura Biyori...almost done, yay!

OMG!!! THE ASUS EEE!!! I have been waiting for this laptop for a few months now, and it's finally coming out soon! Producers say that it'll be sent out world-wide in August, so I'm hoping that Korea will be including in that "world-wide" thingie.

Sakura Biyori...DONE! Woo!

^^ Here's the SC link if you just want to hear it:

We are family, yes we are!

=_= something about I got all my sisters and me...or something like that.

So. Cousin Roy came from Hawaii and it's the first time I've met him, spoken to him, spoken of him. He's a nice guy. 18, younger than me, but smokes, like, a pack a day. Apparently he started while still in high school. Now, while I DO think that I am the last person to pass judgement, I think he's just a wee bit too young to be doing stuff like that. But I just smile and then wave him away when he pulls out a cigarette because I neither have the right nor the balls to tell him

"QUIT WASTING YOUR MONEY AND LIFE ON THOSE DISEASED STICKS OF NICOTINE!!"

Sad, but true. My parents both used to smoke. My mom was a light smoke and quit when I was about 5 or 6, and my dad was actually a heavy smoker, but he quit about 6-7 years ago, so I'm really happy about that. Anyways, enough about my cigarette rant.

Well, it's monsoon season here in Korea and God damn, but I hate it so. It's really humid so I just feel sticky, sticky and have to wash my hands every hour because I hate that sticky, damp feeling. It's been raining on and off, and the sky is a dark grey. To be honest, sometimes I feel like I'm living in a box, of which the insides are painted grey and if I just bother to walk an hour in any direction, I will come up against this force that will not enable me to take one step further. Yuck. It's summer when I wish I was back in nice, old Southern California.

In other news, tomorrow, Saturday, Roy and I, along with his two trusty sidekicks, Otis and David, are going to Everland, which is the biggest and most famous amusement park in Korea. It's also expensive as hell, but I think Disneyland has got it beat. =_= Will come back with pictures.

Oh and I'm wondering something...why, oh WHY did Joey get TWO PSPs?
