Canoe trip 2008

Last week was wonderful.  I had the wonderful privilege of spending all week on the Clarion River with this wonderful group of girls!

 We were on the road for like 2 hours when all of a sudden our van gave out.  We all piled out beside the road, had lunch and hung out while people made many phone calls.  We finally found a lady who lived a half hour away willing to bring her van for us to use, wow, we were very greatful.  So if you were cruising down the road last monday and saw some girls standing on a canoe trailer getting trucks to honk, it was us:).

ON THE RIVER......

Rope swings, jumping off a big rock, floating down a beautiful river, 6 bald eagles, 3 snakes, 2 skunks and other random creatures, taking a walk and picking beautiful mountain laurel, eating smores and introducing Carrie to her first smore ever, sitting on a big rock at sunset eating warm gingerbread, huddling under a tarp talking and singing while watching it rain, it all makes me smile.  So many people make trips like this happen by praying, giving money and providing encouragement, I feel so blessed and honored that I get to be able to actually be there and experience it all.  So to all of you reading this, take the time today to look at the sky, pick a flower, hug a friend, enjoy all the wonderful things that God has placed around you.  He gives you special God things every day, we so often are just too busy to enjoy them. 

I love my nieces and nephews, it was so much fun to get to go home for the weekend and get to see them and play with them again, walking down to the pond with the girls, jumping on the trampoline, and getting many hugs.

i even got to go the swiss festival, it was great, mostly cuz i was with fun people but also cuz I just like fairs.

"Little Women" of the Delaware - these pics are from like 3 weeks ago.  It was a great week.  Wouldn't trade it for anything, I actually kinda like the roughing it thing by now, how weird is that but i think more than that i just love getting to spend a whole week hanging with these girls, talking, singing and yeah we have our problems but we work through them and move on and have fun again.  Yep, if you have never done anything like this, you are missing out.  

Another cool thing about the week was we got back early so i got to jump in the car with my wonderful friend Sue and head to Ohio to watch softball, they didn't win but it sure was a fun weekend.  Now summer activities are over and it is back to normal life but it is all good, definately don't get bored.  I have been reminded of how much God wants to work through us this weekend cuz there was this family that moved a lil out of town and i hadn't seen them for like a couple months and yesterday morning i felt like i should go visit them so i made cookies and took a few other things with me and went to their place.  When i got there the kids said their mom was sick so she had gone to the hospital that morning and they were there by themself, she came back a little while later than and so I got to pray with her and take the kids home with me to take care of them but yeah if God tells you to do something there is probably a reason so listen cuz you will be blessed. God really does want to work through us.  Oh, and I am so excited cuz next weekend i get to go to New York City to meet up with my church from home for a weekend witnessing trip and what makes it even better is that 4 great ppl from around here are even going with me, makes me smile.  K, have a great week! and  No, you can't have fifty cents, sorry.
