  • Holy crap, first posting in almost two years.

I'm gonna be coming back soon, still not quite sure how, I might transform this into a music review website. More to come later.

"You are right, dearest Madam, music and religion are the two things about which the most erroneous things have been thought, said, and written.  Fortunately, our music is quite an innocent thing and is in no position to cause great damage . . . and its priests are harmless people. . . .  Religion, which shares with music the fact that it is also an unsolved mystery, should imitate the latter and allow the believers to adhere to the manifestations that best suit them . . . . The advantage that music has over religion is that it is capable of uplifting and inspiring so many people without having to approach reason too closely . . .  [but both] are united in the task of lifting humanity above the prosaic humdrum of life--to bring hope and consolation to transfigure grief and joy."

    Back in the loop

Well, it's finally time to get back in the loop.  But just before we can do that, let's start the bat off with some new lyrics people!  How about it?!

    BLAME IT ON BOB

    When the Sea is boilin'
    And the hurricanes are blowin'
    Easy jobs are goin'
    People mowin' lotta whorin'

God doesn't know that the world is gonna sob
But don't you know that you can always blame it on Bob

Bob doesn't do the slightest thing wrong
But people always run when he tries to sing a song
He wouldn't hurt a soul not even a fly
So why don't people guess that he's such a nice guy

Even though he can't explain his discretion
The corner of your eye is lookin' in his direction
He looks for attention but he doesn't know how
Says he might as well apologize and take a good bow

"Even though sometimes I sound vain
I don't like to see you lash out in pain
I hate to see you worry
But you never answer my inquery

It took me time to figure out who I am
I don't admire it but I do what I can
And so now sorry is all that I can say
I wish I wouln't have to but it's just the only way"

    When you can't enjoy life
    And the terrorists win
    Can't make a phone call
    Without someone listenin' in

Just before you go outside and hold a lightin' rod
Maybe first consider just to blame it on Bob

    When the sky is fallin'
And the grimm reaper is maullin'
    The Commies follow Stalin
    And the SUV's are haulin'

Just before you try to lynch and start your own mob
Think a minute and remember you can blame it on Bob

There's me...staring into the face of danger.
