"Hmmm," I thought, it is a nice picture. I reckoned that this was a pretty descent picture, though I saw my awkward smile.

This friend was not alone in expressing this sentiment. In fact, let me tell you of another friend who thought the same thing. This friend lives five minutes away from me and I see him almost every single day. His name is Charlie. At any rate, he says,

"Son, Son (which, he calls me. Sadly now it comforts me when he says, 'I'm your daddy') "smile, when you take pictures." What he does not know is that I do smile when I take pictures...though pictures don't show.

After reviewing my friends' comments, I decided not to change this picture on my page.

"But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

how sweet.

Wednesday, July 19, 2006

Lately I've been reading the book of Psalm.
King David wrote so many great poems that i read it over and over again during this summer. Here is a psalm of David, which it fits really well for this summer. Hope y'all enjoy it.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long". -Psalm 23
