yuanieisabrat says: "Do you think a dancer is an artist?"

In Reference

to the above question, I ask you again, how do we classify someone as a dancer? Is it someone who just gestures around in the club? Or perhaps it's someone who make body movements on stage? How about those beginner students in dance classes?

To me, there isn't any specific term for it. If you love dancing and you dance, no matter how awesomely good or how awfully bad. That, we may say the before is a good dancer and latter, a bad dancer.

I don't care if the dictionary says only good dancers can be called dancer, although can't seem to find one that proves it. If one loves dancing more than anything and is dancing, he/she is definitely a dancer.

They may be many different reasons why people fall in love with this unique art. My mysterious man once told me that, "Dancing is different from any other arts because it doesn't need props or instruments to highlight the art. Dancing only need some body movements." And my definition of dancing?

Letting your body feel the music and move with it. Dancing is all about you and your inner self. You need to let go of your body and emotion to truly enjoy the art. The best part about dancing is using body language. Verbal language is as interesting but nothing beats the beauty of body language.

So why bother about classifying someone as a dancer or not? Because then we start asking subsequent questions like, why do we classify dance as an art? Or what makes an artist, an artist?

It's been a very long time since I last blog about something rather serious. Something happened recently and I wish to share this with the public. No matter a good or bad dancer, they all deserve some respect. It isn't about boo-ing and critics anymore. It is something more serious than that.

When a dance group is invited to perform, the group expects a lot from themselves. Simply because first, they are quite new and lastly, they sacrificed a lot during training and practice. When the night has come and they were provided with poor lighting and unpleasant sound system, let alone the tiny stage that can barely squeeze all the members on it.

Sure the first performance did not go well, the sound system was so bad that even the screams from the audience covered it 100%.

When the request to perform for the second time was granted and sound system was fixed, the group was overjoyed. Just when things seems to be a blast, a grown-up disrespectfully stop the music and disallow a second performance.

Words alone do not give justice to the situation above. Because I was there to see it with my own eyes, I felt the tension in the atmosphere.

Few of the audience cried, because the group walked away. Some of the group members lost their heads, because they were humiliated in public.

If you can't understand the situation above, I'd say that you don't love dancing as much as they do. If you still can't understand the situation above, you don't have a respect for anyone at all.

A cacated keyboard

The alphabet "see" is malfunctioning. The letter "we" is working, as well as the first letter for $$$. Sigh, so now kids, learn the new abc... follow me:-

a b d e f g h i j k l n o p q r s t u w y

There... now you know which letter is missing. Aah, I know what you're thinking. Those missing letters appeared in this sentence anyway! That because y friend, I spell checked those words with the missing letters. See, I really have no luck with technology, especially when it's pc-related.

Because of its handicapped, let's move on to photos. But I' too fed up too with the keyboard right now so er add e in face book and view the photos from there la alright everyone? :)

Not me, but someone else. Which I don't wanna talk about cause it's difficult for me to interpret what just happened. Although I knew this day is gonna come, but boy oh boy, it happened way faster than I expected.

Anyhow, found another 2 links prior to the Miss Malaysia Pageant 2008. Mind you, it is the same featured article though. Hope to enjoy it anyway.
