Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5-6

Thank you!

::EDIT::  Well, I guess my dad really hates Facebook.  He's making me take it down, so Xanga is the only way I can communicate online.  I guess it's for my own good.

Bye...again!

So, I'm off to my 3rd and final summer camp tomorrow...BUT it'll be the best one b/c it's in NYC!!!!

I haven't been to NYC since I was 7 when my grandparents lived there.  So, I'm pretty pumped.

I am, however, saddened to let you all know that I won't be on Xanga for a while.  After camp, I'm visiting UPenn, Princeton, Harvard, MIT, BC, BU, Williams, RPI, Cornell and such so I won't be back until the 12th or 13th.  Then, I leave for my cabin on the 16th.  I would love to stay a week there but SPAT camp starts on the 21st.  All the while I must study, study, study....

So, if anyone wants a postcard from NYC, Boston, Ithaca, or Hayward (it's in Wisconsin...where my cabin is) email me at yuexx027@umn.edu

Cheers!!!

Happy again

So, yes, I'm happy again as the title of this weblog states

So, regardless of the little tiny things that seem to always ruin my day, other little tiny, insignificant things make me feel good again.

Why am I so happy, you ask?  I'm happy because I got another scholarship to attend a journalism camp, the week before J Camp (journalism camp) at NYU nonetheless!  It's at U of MN and it'll be an editorial leadership camp.  But still, free room and board? Who wouldn't turn that down!

Now I must go work on college essays, college apps, UMTYMP hw (which apparently was hidden from me until last week), reading for APWL (somehow that doesn't flow as well as APAL...WLAP perhaps?) and study for SAT Subject tests on subjects I don't even know.

Cheers to all!

P.S.  I got my AP scores back and got a 1 on Calc BC.  Then again, Manderfeld accused me of "cheating" on it.  Oh, boy.

So, yeah, Luther College Summer Seminars (aka minority camp) is officially over.  I'm so sad because I made such awesome friends there.  I'm also sad because this means I have to go back to swim practice.  Looking back on it though, I don't miss the love affair between S and J and their little fiasco with the condom.  So, yeah, I'm sad already.

This experience has made me so much more excited for college.  But I dunno...there's something about minorities that adds another dimension of fun...

OUR VERY OWN TONY AWARDS!

Edit: I didn't make Concert Choir

With the passing of the Tony Awards this past weekend, I thought it would be fun for everyone who reads this blog to "nominate" a musical in the...

First Annual "Tony" Awards
Here's how it works:
1) I provide different categories for musicals (i.e. best song, best musical, etc.)
2) You provide an answer to what musical you feel best fits that category.  The musical that you write doesn't have to be modern or even one that's well known.  Here's your chance to voice your opinion!

Category #1:   Best Title of a Musical
Category #2:   Best Love Song of a Musical
Category #3:   Best Funny Song of a Musical
Category #4:   Best Inspiration Song of a Musical
Category #5:   Best Song of a Musical To Sing Along With
Category #6:   Best Overall Song of a Musical
Category #7:   Best Scene of a Musical
Category #8:   Best Costumes of a Musical
Category #9:   Best Scenic Design of a Musical
Category #10: Best Original Score of a Musical
Category #11: Best Book of a Musical
Category #12: Best Musical That Took Risks
Category #13: Best Overall Creativity of a Musical
Category #14: Best Musical (Dramatic)
Category #15: Best Musical (Comedy)
Category #16: Best Musical (Horror/Creepy)

ENJOY!!!
