  • oh my god,

    Merry Christmas everyone!
    Or whatever you celebrate,

So I went shopping for my friend who just happens to not celebrate Christmas. And you don't know how impossible it is to find a decent, non-Christmas related card to send to a person. I just wanted a New Year's card! Something cute, maybe a snowman, a snowflake? Some blue... a big ball?!

NO. NO. NOTHING! I couldn't find anything that DIDN'T have to do with Christmas. I searched top to bottom in American Greetings and Hallmark. I ended up not even getting any holiday related card at all! Instead I found some lame singing one in the BACK, with some sunshine poking around. And I feel so bad because it has nothing at all to do with anything. It's just a typical "You're Awesome!" card.

So, what about those atheists? What about the people that DON'T celebrate Christmas? I know, you're thinking, "that can't be!" Well my friend, it's TRUE. There are people in the world that don't celebrate this overrated, overspending, much too green holiday! I think someone should alert the card stores, because they sure haven't been warned.

    People, open your eyes.

Besides that, I can't wait to rip apart that stupid, thin sheet of paper that covers my too awesome presents!!

HELL YES. How else would I know and find all the weird, odd and disturbing things to show my friends!
And without the internet, I would not have become addicted to the multiples of things I am to now.
    All hail the internet!

    Is life worth living?

Okay, so I'm going through this forum and this he/she/it person asks:
    Is Life Worth Living?
Ah, this is a tough question because it depends if you believe in god, and to what degree. I will try to address this issue from three different viewpoints.

There is no god, or afterlife whatsoever.
The most difficult one. What is the point of living, if there is only death? Say life is a number line, and pain and joy are equal in life. We start at zero, add 1 for happiness, and subtract 1 for pain. Now, we are back at where we started. So was it worth the trouble to get nothing? I suppose one could try to make their own happiness, thus negating the balance, however then, that person would be under a constant shadow of blissful ignorance. It appears the only reason atheists refrain from killing themselves is A, because they are too curious about the future, or B, because they wish to carry on the species. However, even the latter is futile, because since everything will die, humanity is just running from an invincible monster. As I see no point in life, I see no problem in ending it.

There is a god, but no afterlife.
This has two choices: Live, because you don't want to piss off god, or kill yourself because you won't come back anyway.

There is a god, and the afterlife awaits us.
In this case, most people choose life. However, some welcome death, for it hastens the afterlife. Unfortunately this risks pissing off god if pulled off incorrectly.

So, what should it be? Live? or Die?
Please tell me, I need to decide before school starts next week.

Okay seriously, if there was no "God" or afterlife or whatever else there may be, how else are you going to spend your time?
If I did believe in this afterlife thing, why not kill me now? Paradise > here.
And what if one day some brainiac goes, "dude, when you die you'll be in like this total eternal darkness. forrealz."
Would you really spend your days differently? Besides your weekly trip to that cool temple of yours, and who really enjoys that? I used to go when I was little when my mom said, "We're too busy for this," and we went on living the rest of our lives sitting in front of the television screen every sunday.
Frankly, I didn't like it, my friends that go don't like it, everyone just seems to complain about it. And all these tests? You have school! And now God's going about testing you to see if you REALLY read that old book cover to cover. Aw, shame on youuuu.

Not to, you know, offend anyone or anything. Because I'm kinda blunt sometimes, like now. But yeah. Sorry!

I'm just saying, I would love to be looking forward to this paradise place filled with puffy white clouds, blue skies above me, and a fountain of everlasting cakes, pudding, and ice cream. 0 calories, 0 grams of fat, 0 shit. I could eat all I'd ever want! You know I had this dream once that I found out I was pregnant. I was hella happy because I'm thinking "OMG, I get to eat TWICE as much and not gain a thing!"

That's the key to life, eating as much as you want and not gaining a pound. That, my friends, is heaven.

Back to the point. Whether there be a God, or not, I'm still counting on success, money, and some lover to cuddle and yell at for my happiness. So everyone STOP interrogating eachother about this "life worth" mumbo jumbo.

Why don't you just get outside, and you know, live?

  • You know what!?

I feel good, real good. As in: not-in-the-mood-for-one-of-my-emo-blogs-good!
I'm freaking happy. I had a party, a sleepover with my best friends that I love and love and love.
And you know, you should ALL have a sleepover with your best friends that you love and love and love and stuff.
Because it's a feel good type thing that gets you feelin' GOOD! Shocker, I know.

But really, go do something good for yourself. Hang out with friends. Watch Pirates of the Carribean 3 [drool] or Forrest Gump, he gets me laughing everytime. Go rent Superbad, read a folktale, MAKE a folktale! Write out some loving holiday cards or DON'T, and laugh at everyone who didn't get one! Bake some cookies, you know the ones that come out of the plastic wrap "-ahem-"

No, really really, have a sleepover. Especially if your a girl because I guess it's not so much a guy thing. And no, DON'T pick up the next stranger on the block. And DON'T invite those pretty, popular, and oh so fashionable losers that can't hold a conversation for more than 5 minutes! NO, invite your friends that you can talk to hours about paper airplanes and chocolate fondue and the geek next door.

Because after my party I've been smiling 24/7. Yes, all 2 days. And they told me in some girly magazine that girls hanging out with their best friends makes you all good for looking at men, or something like that. I don't know, it was really lame. But either way, I felt it! Well maybe. But I was super flirty today [as always], but I mean about 10000000x flirtier. And you know, flirting is fun. And it's healthy, at any age, sex or martial status! Hell yeah!

    Rofl, i'm so fucking weird.

Do you find it comfortable keeping eye contact in conversations?

Yayyy my question got featured! How exciting :P

Well, for me I think it's key to keep eye contact when talking to people. It really shows that you're listening and you give a crap about what their saying. If the person isn't looking me straight in the face, I get worried, because it seems like they aren't taking in what I'm saying.

It used to be tough keeping eye contact, but I figured, a couple years ago, that it's better than looking every place possible besides the person right across from you. And plus, it's fun seeing how nerve racking it can be for others while you're staring them down :P

Besides that it gives you a sense of confidence and awesomeness. And who doesn't like that?

Would you raise your child the same way your parents raised you?

Absolutely. I think they did a pretty good job :P
I think I turned out pretty well rounded, which i'm guessing is because I was the first born, and we didn't have much then. Even relatives lived pretty far away. Most our support came from family friends, who we still visit these days - and whom I all share a great bond with, even if we only see eachother once a year.

I've learned to appreciate things, even now when life is alot easier. And what I really appreciate is the time I get with my family. I guess it's sort of rare to find someone that actually likes hanging out and talking with their parents, but it has alot to do with just not getting enough of it when I was little. Up until I was about 10 years old, my mom would work days and my dad would work nights. So whenever I was home, my dad would be resting up from his nightshift. And I'd basically be alone all day until my mom would come home, too worn down to play with me. And the kids around the apartments we lived at were mostly 13-16, while I was 8. It was a huge gap, but I still "hung out" with them. I bet I was more of an annoyance. :P I probably knew more about boys and sex than anyone else. Lmao.

But I did most of the growing up on my own. I taught myself all those life lessons, even though I didn't get long parenting speeches and even though they never bothered punishing me for anything I did, I learned easily from falling off my bike way too often, litterally and not so litterally.

I've become extremely independent, and I feel like I can face the world. Despite the characteristics of my current generation.

Though I don't plan on leaving my kids on their own 24/7, my parents are really good at what they do, which shows now since they're home when I'm home and always there for me. Thank god because I don't know where I'd be if that whole earlier situation was still going on. But I understand why. And I want my kids to be just as understanding, appreciative and loving as I feel I am towards my family.

Should second chances be given to someone who has broken your trust?

I really like this question, because we think about it all the time. And there's alot of right and wrong in either answer.

I know alot of it depends on the severity of the situation, accidental or intentional, but it's still basically the same concept. Accidental... they forgot about you? Wow, thanks! Intentional is even worse, but is it any different? I think forgetting about you altogether is equal to, or worse, than going out to hurt you on purpose. At least when they went to hurt you, you were on their mind :P

I think the right thing to do, for yourself, would just to give up totally on that person. You chose them as a friend because you trusted them in the first place. And well, what was the point in that? When I'm really good friends with people, I really just trust them completely, I can get so attatched to my friends because it's hard to find someone really close to you. And when you really care and cherish someone so much, you'd think they'd do the same for you. And you know what? They should. There's no exception for it, no cuts, buts, or coconuts.

Of course, we're all going to want to give that second chance anyhow, no matter how wrong it is. But yeah, I guess we're human and I guess we aren't perfect. But you could at least try, right? I mean isn't that the new fad, perfection? - prettiest hair, best brand name clothing, most expensive bag, fuzziest boots, most high tech mp3 player, game console, cell phones, everything. So why can't we be the same for our friends? Because we expect so much out of them, and when we're asked to do the exact same thing - well we're just human aren't we, now?

I went a bit off topic. But yeah, I'm sure about 90% of people would give that second chance. Not because we understand, but because we want our friends back. And you know, I bet everyone of you would even give a third, fouth, fifth, etc, chance, if they were that special for you. I think the closer they are to you, the more chances you'd give them.

I have a best friend, and I love her to death, I'd do anything for her. I don't know how many times we've fought, stopped talking, got back together, argued over boys, or how many times she's forgotten about me, how many times she's broken my trust. But to equal all of that out are the hours of phone/aim conversations, friday lunches, DQ ice cream trips, everything. There are so many times I've said I just don't want to give a fuck anymore, where I just want to scream and punch her, but you know we all come crawling back.

So to put it simply, yes.

Things I read

  • Hi, i like to talk and smile and laugh and look at pretty things. I like to write myself notes on any type of writing material possible at the moment, which I tape into my diary later on. I truly appreciate going home to enjoy doing absolutely nothing. And my favorite thing in the world at the moment is sitting here pouring my heart and mind out to thousands of strangers everyday. It's cool to be noticed by these strangers that I probably never will meet, but that also have no prejudged view on me. They're my best friends, they listen. And that's all I ever wanted.

For the expressive
