ON THE UGBA10 COVER

Yayuh. In the middle of April, I set out on a journey. One that required resilience, patience, motivation, and awesomeness. This journey was all to meet a certain goal- to be on next year's ba10 class's reader cover. It was strenuous, and looked hopeless at times, but finally, our photo was published.

Here, let me point you out to where I am.

You can find me by the Business aisle at Ned's on ABA Ned's Night, August 28. I'll sign it for you, no worries.

Holla atcha girl.

My end-of-freshman-year post

So almost 2 weeks ago I walked out of Hertz Hall, just finishing my last final. The sun hit my eyes, I put on my stunnah shades, and looked around. Damn, all my friends had finished before me. Those bitches. As I was walking back, it hit me.... I WAS DONE with my first year in college. WOOOO!!!!!

This year has been unbelievable. Honestly, in the beginning of the year, after turning down my then-dream school, UCLA, I didn't expect much. I expected it to be "miserable" like it is stereotyped to be. I expected to meet nerds and hang out with MV people for the rest of my life while being attacked by hobos. After a crazy welcome week, a variety of classes, and my first Cal football game, my feelings completely changed. I LOVED CAL, but most of all I loved college. LOVED it, even despite all the hard work, I look back on it and I loved it. I still remember my first class Monday, Film R1a. 17 students, 1 Graduate student teacher. Then my next class. Econ 1. 750+ students, 1 professor. Crazy shit. I still remember going to an event where Miranda July, the director and actress in the indie film "Me and You and Everyone We Know", was speaking. I still remember that since I had watched her other film before, I got to go away with her and film a segment for her. I still remember sitting inside a cabin in the middle of tahoe, sleeping bags all around, studying hardcore for my 2nd business test after building hermaphrodite snowmen. I still remember those times I've seen Marshawn Lynch walking past GBC, or sitting at a table in the SLC getting tutored, and those times when I watched Leon Powe joke with his huge friends on Sproul. I still remember roadtripping down to UCLA to watch the football game, and not talking the whole ride back because I was so angry we lost. I still remember the Big Game at Stanfurd, and talking the whole way back because I was so happy we WHOOPED them. I still remember performing in front of 200 in 145 Dwinelle dressed as a crazy grandma, completed by a random ass interpretive ribbon dancing routine. And ya'll know I STILL REMEMBER meeting Mischa Barton in front of Wheeler. All these memories, all these good times, they make up my first year.

Since the year ended, I pretty much had 4 days to chill. The next Monday, I had to start work. My daily schedule M-F is now this: wake up at 8:30, realize I have to get to work by 9, haul ass, work 9-5, come home around 5:30-5:45, sit myself in front of the TV with my laptop and not move for the rest of the night. Something along those lines. I've definitely caught up with my MTV reality shows :D Also, this past weekend, shan regina and I headed down to SoCal (UCLA & SD) to surprise Lyuser, whose birthday was Tuesday! YAYY. You can read more about that in her xanga. All I have to say is, I've never watched a shirt taking-off competition between 2 guys before this weekend. It was fun times, thanks Jenny, Steph, Chris and Alistair for letting us stay at your places. Last note: Jsn sucks at Super Monkey Ball and RoShamBo.

Before I continue, I want to mention that  I watched X3 midnight showing with Alex, Siyu, Brian, Paul, Danh and Eric. Siyu sums up my feelings pretty well:
"where the first movie was a first date at chili's, the second one was a classier dinner at Elephant Bar, with the last shot of the phoenix in the water being a promise for a third date at Alexander's steakhouse. The third one actually turned out to be a quickie and a drive thru at Weinershnitzle with her fat ugly sister (brett ratner)"

Ok moving on, CAL SPORTS:
My cal basketball heart died after leon powe signed an agent :*( Lame! Now our team is dead. But my cal football heart strengthened as we were ranked top 10 by many organizations. I really hope our quarterback is legit. For sure it is not Joe Ayoob (a-noob). I still hate that guy. fucking bz. I CAN'T WAIT TO STEP INTO MEMORIAL STADIUM AGAIN :D :D

But in general, I cannot wait until summer REALLY starts. I can't wait for everyone to be back in the bay, yay area! camping, renting a boat, chilling.  shitloads of bbq's - 4th of july yee! I also need to move into my new apartment sometime in June, want to help me? :D I'm so excited mark and joseph will live there too, my newsletter homies! This summer will for sure be good times.

No pictures because my damn desktop is still not hooked up. Check back later I guess, or I'll probably facebook everything.

This is a half-assed post that I am writing while watching the Real World. Peace out, life is good :)

Back in Cupertino a few days before Finals...

My whole family is currently taking a nap.
This is my mom's second nap of the day.
My dad fell asleep after golf, and my brother was just bored.

RAH! I wish I could nap... although I have been getting 12+ hrs of sleep a day. Sigh, what kind of finals studier am I? :P
Back to memorizing my 1000 psych flashcards!
(That might be an exagerration, but I wouldn't be surprised)

After Wednesday,
expect a huge post, on my entire year at Cal (while I wait for my parents to pick me up)

BYE, GOOD LUCK MY FELLOW CAL LOVERS!

I told you Mischa Barton would come to Berkeley!

... even if it wasn't for O.C.

So today started off normal... had an early morning meeting for a case presentation, went to eat at the DC, then came back to study a bit for my business test tomorrow. Midway through, my eyes got a little tired so I decided to take a little nap. I sent my alarm for 4 PM, and napped. Once my cell phone alarm went off, I hit snooze for about 15 minutes before resetting the alarm for 4:45 PM. Within a minute after I am drifting back to sleep, SIYU SONG calls and tells me Mischa Barton is in front of Dwinelle taking pictures with people. @#$&@*(#%&*@#&%@#%. I sprung out of bed and gathered up two of my floormates.

This is the first time I've run in Berkeley, even when I'm late to class I refuse to run.

So after jogging and walking to Dwinelle, SHE WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. But I looked to my right at Wheeler and there was a trailer with some black limo-esque cars pathetically "blocked" off by orange cones. HMMM.... whatever.

We walked by and nothing! Annoyed, we decided to go to Dwinelle and see if maybe she was shooting there. No luck. Before giving up, we decided to go back to Wheeler and chill for a couple seconds. THEN....... she came out of her trailer! My floormate was like "FUCK IT I HAVE WORK IN 10 MINUTES I'M GOING TO ASK HER FOR A PICTURE."

She's really nice, kind of soft-spoken and shy. Super tall. Super gorgeous. Looks just the same as she does on TV. AWESOME!

And that's the end of my story.

Love at first sight.

Btw for those of you who don't know... that's a "I hope they serve beer in hell" book signed by THE Tucker Max (Danh got it for me when Tucker visited the East Coast & Philly during his book tour). AHH!!

It says... "Stephanie Chien, Being one of the guys is cool, except if you used to actually be a guy, TMax"

Thanks Danh!
