| Murray PerahiaThanks to Cindy, I got to go to Murray Perahia's piano concert last night for free! He performed some of the more well-known pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, and Chopin, including Beethoven's "Pastoral" sonata. I've listened to this sonata countless of times and have, unfortunately, grown somewhat tiresome of it. But last night's performance rekindled my love for it! Though I was familiar w/ the piece, I was really touched by its lyrical sounds. It was played delicately but also w/ elegance. Overall, it was a heart-felt performance, and I would, no doubt, go to his concerts again. | | |
| Why do I always feel like I have to justify and defend my choice to study accounting? At least I'm trying it out and trying to find what i want to do w/ my life. I'm at least actively seeking my career, as opposed to just bumming around!! So what rights do those relatives and family friends have to judge me?? "I can't believe you've chosen something so drastically different.... I'm sorry to hear that...." Well, i'm not sorry!! i'm already trying my best. They should understand that for some people it takes longer to find their career. | | |
| Whatever happened, happened. All there's left to do is make peace with it and move on. | | |
| sigh ...how come input NEVER equals to output??? and i'm referring to EVERYTHING!! school, work, human relationships...and even cooking! | | |
| So I went to my company's x'mas party tonight at Hotel Vancouver. It was a nice opportunity for me to get dressed up. The food was good, especially the mashed potato, the lamb, and the lobster. The dessert, however, was disappointing. It was nothing special, and definitely nothing compared to what we had at Pan Pacific 5 years ago. There wasn't even any cheesecake! Anyway, i danced a little and felt kinda awkward but also kinda fun. But i didn't stay too late b/c i still have work early tmr morning. Pictures will be posted soon. | | |
