  • Mercy Came Running - Phillips, Craig & Dean (Trust)
Once there was a holy place
    Evidence of God's embrace
And I can almost see mercy's face
    Pressed against the veil

    Looking down with longing eyes
    Mercy must have realized
That once His blood was sacrificed
    Freedom would prevail

And as the sky grew dark
And the earth began to shake
With justice no longer in the way

    Chorus:
    Mercy came running
    Like a prisoner set free
Past all my failures to the point of my need
When the sin that I carried
    Was all I could see
And when I could not reach mercy
    Mercy came running to me

Once there was a broken heart
Way too human from the start
And all the years left it torn apart
    Hopeless and afraid

Walls I never meant to build
    Left this prisoner unfulfilled
    Freedom called but even still
    It seemed so far away

I was bound by the chains
From the wages of my sin
Just when I felt like giving in

    Chorus

Sometimes I still feel so far
So far from where I really should be
He gently calls to my heart
    Just to remind me

    Chorus

Report: Hong Kong Authorities Ponder Labeling Bible 'Indecent'

The Good Book isn't clean enough for Hong Kong.

Residents of the city are calling for an "indecent" label for the Bible, saying the text contains passages that are too gory for young eyes, Reuters reports.

At least 838 complaints had been registered Wednesday with the city's Television and Entertainment Licensing authority after an anonymous Web site, truthbible.net, said the Bible "made one tremble" with its sexual and violent content, including rape and incest, the news agency reports.

The Chinese city has been debating the merits of indecency since a recent sex column published in the Chinese University's "Student Press" magazine asked readers about their violent sexual fantasies.

That column was branded as indecent by the Obscene Articles Tribunal.

If the Bible is labeled indecent in Hong Kong, people over the age of 18 will be the only ones able to purchase the book, and it would have to be sold with a warning label wrapped around the book.

The Web site truthbible.net already includes an English-language warning: "Legal Disclaimer Warning: This Web site contains Bible material which may offend and may not be distributed, circulated, sold, hired, given, lent, shown, played or projected to a person under the age of 18 years."

But the prospect of the underage Bible ban has local ministers scoffing.

"If there is rape mentioned in the Bible, it doesn't mean it encourages those activities," Reuters quoted Reverend Wu Chi-wai, Protestant minister, as saying. "It's just common sense ... I don't think that criticism will have strong support from the public."

    ARE YOU SERIOUS???
There are some seriously LOST people out there!!! I know there is a lot of things in the bible that we don't understand, considering the very limited knowledge general people have concerning the history and background of the biblical time. But if they would just take the time to ask God about what it means, instead of using their twisted mind to read what they only have a glimpse of, I'm sure they will have a TOTALLY NEW perspective...

Pray for me to put on the armour of God when I go home, there is going to be a good fight!!

About Me

  • LIFE is a roller-coaster ride - thrilling, exciting, and full of suprises; It always seems to be so peaceful before a tremulous fall; you scream and cried and try to grab on to anything you can find; and you think it'll get better when the ride starts going up... next thing you know, you're flipped upside-down with loops after loops and the circles just go on and on until you think your heart is going to explode. My best bet now is to believe that no matter how thrilling this ride called LIFE is; or how many loops are there to dis-orient me, I will still be OK because Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior will always carry me through - Psalm 73:23 / Ephesians 6:10-13
