Time Flies...
Old people likes to say "10 years pass by like the blink of an eye" or sth like that...I never appreciated how true that is until now...there are things from 10 years ago that i can remember as if it happened yesterday and there are things that i have absolutely not recollection of...i am SO sorry that i don't remember you from grade 8 or 9, sam...i was going through some old stuff and took another look at the year books...apparently i DID know sam from grade 9...we took a picture together in strathcona!!! anyway, who would have thought that 10 years later, we ended up together?  i honestly would have never never guessed...

Serendipity...
Watched "Serendipity" the other day...always meant to watch it coz gordon said it was so good...and kate beckinsale is so hot...haha...it was a good movie but made me think so much...it's like, would you give up all that you have right now to chase over something that is so abstract and so...unlikely?  i don't think i believe in love at first sight probably because i have never experienced it, but also that the concept of love at first sight sort of rests on the idea that there is "someone" for everyone, (like, this person was meant for you and you only)...if you think about it, there's like a gazillion ppl on earth, and the chance of you meeting that ONE person is next to zero...(and really, have you ever heard of butt ugly ppl falling in love at first sight??) if everyone refused to be with anyone except that special someone, the human race would be extinct by now.  in the movie, john cusack was about to get married to someone he loved (but apparently not enough), but called off the wedding to chase after kate beckinsale (who he hasn't seen in like, 10 years and have no idea where to find her)...it's really romantic and everything, especially since they find each other in the end (oops, sorry if you haven't watched the movie yet)...but in real life, who would do that???  he might never find her and just end up as an old fat guy sitting on his couch all day regretting his decision not to marry his gf 50 years ago.

Looking Back...
After watching that movie, i became really philosophical and pondered upon a lot of things...i realized that there are some things in the past that i really wish i could undo or redo...does everyone feel that way at some point?  but then i thought, if i DID do things differently, i might be in the same position right now wondering what it would have been like if i hadn't done it that way...sigh...so i came to a conclusion that what we've lost in the past, gave up in the past, did in the past, didn't do in the past....is in the past....and perhaps it's better to let go of things that you can't change...

on the gondola....my gosh...that scared the crap out of me...i lived on the 68th floor and sam was afraid to even go out on the balcony, but was apparently not afraid of the gondola....wth???

this is the alley where they sell pork jerky and stuff....these sales people are AGGRESSIVE!! they hold the jerky with one hand and a huge pair of scissors in the other and force you to try and buy....one even grabbed onto my arm and tried to drag me inside the store...


Drinks in HK are either so expense or so cheap.....TIL water @ $35 or malt vitasoy @ like, i forgot how much but really cheap

hong kong starbucks also taste better!


right, this is the view from the apartment i was staying at....and this is the balcony where sam refused to step on...i don't get it...not like the balcony is going to FALL OFF or anything! i am SURE there's a higher chance of the gondola at ocean park falling than my balcony suddenly falling off out of nowhere...

YEAAAAA!!! I am done my exams!!!! no more studying until 2008!!!!! Time for a picture update!

so what have i done these past few months?
hmmmm the most exciting was probably the release of the 7th and final harry potter book....it was GOOD....too bad ginny didn't die though...

melody and i had a pretty crazy harry potter-weekend...first we watched the 5th movie with IMAX:

yes...we stayed in the theatre after the movie was over just to take pictures~~ hahaha



then, we attended a harry-potter party thingy with jason and elizabeth and the lineup was LONG...tried to take a picture showing how lengthy the lineup was, but all i managed to do was take pics of back of ppl's heads...

I didn't get my book that night though, coz sam preordered it online for me....so i got it the next day...THanks SAM! i started reading it as he was fixing his car...


for those of you that don't read harry potter, you wouldn't understand my excitement...but i was REALLY happy...and even happier that i was quite satisfied with the ending...(again, it would have been a lot better had ginny died...i wanted her to die in a stupid way too...like, walk walk ha and pk or something..)


yea...i was reading it inside the car coz sam was fixing it late at night and i didnt want to get attacked by mosquitos...

I went on this cruise thing organized by my work place....does this look familiar?

...also went to watch fireworks several times this year, but i didn't find it all that impressive this year...maybe it's coz i have seen it so many times by now? but it was okay...gordon tried to take pics of some of the fireworks...

...THEN, just this last weekend, the day after i finished my exam, sam gave me a surprise day!!
This is sam forcing me to keep my eyes closed until we reach our destination....i eventually had to open them coz i had to look at a map for him...hahaha



Destination # 1: Lonsdale Quay - to eat a seafood lunch!..they have this place there where you buy seafood and they steam it there right away and serve them with melted butter....super super good..but we both woke up late so just ate a quick lunch..

me and my yogurt fruit salad.....let's go back one day and have our seafood lunch, sam!


Destination #2: Bard on the Beach - Romeo & Juliet!!!!!  I was really really surprised coz i totally didn't expect it...i know i mentioned wanting to see it, but i thought sam would never be organized enough to book the tickets and stuff....sorry for underestimating you! haha

Destination #3: Marble Slab ice cream place....
I never knew this place existed...you choose 2 types of ice cream and a filling and they mush it all up on a iced marble slab....
Look at all these candies!!! (the fillings)

when i watch a hockey game, i am and because i never know what's really actually going on, so at first when sam forced me to watch hockey with him, i was just like, ...BUT after watching luongo and the saves he makes, i was and very at how fun hockey can be...he is because just when i get mad at how the other team always skates so much faster than us, he goes and makes a spectacular save, and i am all ...and when the other team super harasses luongo, i get and and but when he again makes a saves despite the harassing, and i am like and again.

...and i named the bear Wahluongo!
