It has definitely been a while since I wrote on Xanga. This is like the other dozen diaries I used to write in when I was young, and I would never be able to keep it for more than a week. I've decided to give it one more try...

A lot has happened since my last entry. Just to give a brief summary, I went to a cruise with some of my best friends at Duke, and it was definitely a blast. We lived like Kings and Queens served with 5 course dinners everyday. Then it was my birthday in April, and graduation in early May. Trip to San Francisco with my mum, then to miami with Mike. My journey home was horrendous. My flight was overbooked, had to fly to London and was stucked there for at least 5 hrs, then I got back to singapore and found out that my baggages were missing. The very next day, I went to Malaysia for my cousin's wedding. Shortly after getting back to Singapore, I took another trip to Tokyo which was a really interesting experience.

Now I have less than 2 weeks before I start work. There are so many things to do, yet so little time. Like scuba diving. I really wonder if I would ever pick it up again if I do not learn it before i start the worklife. But I do have a big hole in my pocket now and I really shouldn't be spending more money anymore before earning any.

I went to watch the Duke vs Clemson game yesterday.  I thought it won't be hard for us to win the game, but Clemson put up a good fight, especially during the first half.  It was definitely an exciting game, and all our players played really well.  I'm going to miss all these Duke basketball games next year after I go home.

This week is gonna be really busy for me.  I have 2 midterms on thursday, and lots of other work in between too.  Our dorm is going to wintergreen for snowboarding this sunday, day after valentine's day.  It'll be really cheap, but i am not sure if i'll be able to go since I have yet another midterm on monday.  Sigh... can't wait till spring break is here, and i'll be off to a cruise with all my gals!!

Countdown: 24 days to Spring Break!

Yesterday I had my first photography lesson.  It was mostly informational and we haven't really gotten the chance to play around with our cameras yet.  Initially I was worried that my lens wouldn't be sufficient to take good pictures, but it turned out that I should be fine.  Can't wait till we learn how to use all the different functions, controlling aperture sizes and shutter speeds (even though in my case the aperture size on my lens is fixed).  There were 3 people in the class who has the Canon Rebel 2000 camera which i almost got myself.  Looks like it's a really popular camera.

I hate my tue and thu schedule - I have 3 classes in a row that starts from Jones building, and then to main west at Soc Sci, and then to Gross Chem.  I'm sure by the end of the semester I'll be getting plenty of exercise just by walking from one end to the other of West Campus.

I got my senior picture proofs today. Don't think I look too great in them, and don't think that I'm going to spend $300 buying the blown-up pics of myself and pocket sizes either.  It is such a weird tradition to give your friends pocket-size pictures of yourself when they will be getting a yearbook anyway.  Plus they do not look like graduation pictures since we are not wearing our gown in those pics.

Later I will try to go to the gym for step aerobics.  I haven't been keeping up to my new year's resolution to exercise at least twice a week.  But it's not entirely my fault, since the gym was closed for more than half the time last week because of the snow.  I will definitely have to try to keep up with my workout schedule from now on.

It's been a while since I last entered an entry.  This weekend has been another weekend of "zhoboing" (not doing anything), filled with mahjong, cheap Penang food, not-so-great lang dorm party, and a depressing superbowl game.  It was a great game, no doubt, but definitely a disappointing sunday for North Carolinians.

I'm gonna bring my basketball poster to get it autographed today.  After getting it signed by the NCAA champions in freshman year, I really hope our team would at least be able to enter the Final Four. Go Duke Basketball!

I just got back from snowboarding from sugar mountain.  It's so pretty there, so surreal, and it feels like I'm in another country or something.  Definitely doesn't feel like North Carolina.

Snowboarding was real fun, finally got to do some heel-toes instead of doing that falling leaf stance.  It was all good, except that they were making snow the whole time, and it sucks that the artificial snow gets all over our goggles.  I'll remember not to visit sugar mountain during the beginning of their skiing season.  The apparel store at the mountain definitely had a really good sale of goggles for the day!

Can't believe that thanksgiving is almost over, and I haven't gotten any work done at all.  Tomorrow will be a real busy day for me... lots of work to catch up.  Oh well, will worry about that later.
