| Happy New Year everyone. It's 5 to 2 in the morning and I am wide
awake. Tried to stay up last night, which I did- only fell asleep at
11pm, but here I am again. Up and more awake than ever. I'm going to be
in so much trouble tomorrow.
I miss home. If I'm at home right now, we'll be having dinner in an
hour. That's probably why my stomach is feeling a little hungry. The
past couple weeks had been so much fun- just chilling at home and
spending time with the family. I think I just had way too much fun this
time around that it feels so miserable to come back and start work
tomorrow. I cannot believe how quickly time passes. And how much I
already miss them. Spending time with Shunsuke's family over new years
and seeing how happy they are celebrating the new years together makes
me miss my own so much more. Sometimes, I wonder, can we really have
the best of both worlds?
So, my new year's resolutions? Just like the year before, and the year
before that- Lose Weight. This time, hopefully, I'll be able to lose
some and not all TALK only. Hopefully, not get fired and get a
promotion at work too.

| Hello! It's been a while, I know. I happen to notice that I start off with that line quite a bit. Who can blame me, it really has been a while. And plus, I got a degree in accounting, not creative writing. So, please excuse me for the boring introduction. Also, anyone who knows me know that I am NOT a creative person, it's just not in my blood.
So, Shunsuke and I went to Vegas with two friends over Memorial Day weekend. It was a disaster! Well, maybe I'm being a little too dramatic but it was quite an experience. First off, they overbooked the hotel and moved us to a different hotel. We only got the news after waiting in line for 45 minutes, oh and that doesn't count the other hour where we had to wait just to check in. Shady, shady people. Their excuse was the floor where our room is is flooded and we can't stay there for the night. If I have known better, I would have asked for the room floor and go up to check for it myself. And maybe sue them for lying. I don't know if the court will ever admit the case, but it's definitely worth a try. Sure enough, that put a little dent onto our vacation. So, we got to the Hilton (the other hotel) and was given a room on the 13th floor. Not a lucky number, I didn't even think that they have rooms on the 13th floor anymore. I always thought that it goes from 12 to 14, skipping 13. Anyways, the room wasn't ready when we got to there, the lady was still cleaning. Waited another few minutes. So, we waited for close to three hours just to check in and get a room. Shunsuke and I decided not to gamble that night judging from the amount of luck we've had the entire afternoon. The next day was a little better, we got back to Caesars and got a free upgrade. I think we deserved it after all that hassle that they put us through. Also, I think the bed at the other hotel has bed bugs. I have spots on my legs the morning after and it itches like crazy. Eww! Overall the trip wasn't anything that I've expected. I was really excited to go because I've never been to Vegas with anyone my own age. It was always with my mother or my aunts. All I have to say is that it's overrated. Really wanted to watch a show and dine in one of the many award-winning restaurants. Never got to do that because we had to spend time with Shunsuke's law school buddy. Sigh, although I enjoyed their company, I wished we had a little more time to ourselves to at least eat dinner alone for one night. I love visiting new restaurants and try new food and it's a little disappointing that we didn't get to do that. And Vegas has tons of restaurants owned by award winning chefs. I don't know when the next trip will be, but I certainly hope that it would be a lot better than this one. Yes, and I really do mean A LOT.
Other than that, work's been good. Good days and bad days, but mostly pretty ok days. :) Oh and I just turned 24. Shunsuke got me this really cool gift, it's a digital photo frame and he loaded it up with pictures that we've taken and paired it with some music. I thought it was perfect. :)
| Good morning.
I can't believe how early I get up these days - I thought that I could
sleep in till noon, as I always did back in school, but somehow my
biological clock always wakes me up before then. It's the freaking
weekend, I should be able to get some sleep.
Enough about my ramblings, I attended my company's holiday party last
Friday. It was all right, we had the party on a yacht and we were
crammed like can of sardines. I got to wear my new dress and get all
partied up that night. Will remember to post pictures in friendster -
so please be patient with me.
So, a college friend of mine recently moved to Irvine, CA. It's really
good to see her again and have someone to hang out with. Speaking of
her, I need to get changed to go out. See ya!

| Good morning.
I have great news- Shunsuke passed the California Bar Exam. After two whole months of intense studying, and four months of waiting, he did it! And I can't be prouder. Not to say that I won't be proud anyways. But this- it's such a nice way to end the year. I'm so happy that he's so happy. I know he truly deserved it, he worked so hard and I'm honored to be able to share this experience with him.
As we're heading towards thanksgiving, we realized that we have so much to be thankful for this year. Each other, our jobs, exams- we are both very thankful for everyone who kept their faith in us. It truly has been a wonderful year. And of course, I also can't wait for the "day after thanksgiving" sale. I know it's going to be just great... with Shunsuke's credit card! HEHE!
Enjoy the holidays folks!

| Hello!
It's been a while. It's always been a while. I think I've lost touch with Xanga because writing now seems very foreign to me.
My comp crashed for the fourth time since I bought it in 2003. It's really bad according to my dearest Shunsuke Sumitani a.k.a my technology genius. It's amazing how worked up he can get over a machine. I think it's hilarious when he yells at my laptop for not functioning the way it's SUPPOSED to. I'm just thankful that he's around when it goes bonkers because he can fix it for me.
I would like to say that my life for the past month has been pretty "exciting." I went to Kansas City for training. Did you know that there's a Kansas City, Missouri and a Kansas City, Kansas? I didn't, which was really confusing because- if there's a state called Kansas, why in the world would the city be in Missouri? Kansas City actually stretches from Kansas to Missouri. I don't think I'm making any sense. But, it was nice. Managed to meet a couple of people from different offices and that place reminded me of Purdue very much. Oh, and I met up with my friend Adrian for a very yummy BBQ dinner, so that was very fun.
Three big events coming up- my boss invited us to his house for a company dinner and two Xmas parties. Will fill you guys in on how that goes.
