ACF 2008 @ Berjaya Times Square

What can I say about this event? It was held on the 15th and 16th Nov 2008. Got several interesting element to it. Sales have been rather well. But people, no ''liok-ing'' me for anything. Got too many people to belanja. I've limited to ten lucky people and that was it. Cos' they helped me alot out of these few days; boss_subang & ktsiong helped me with online purchasing, Low-san and hi5 really kept me company during the events, pika & my own mom for the stocks purchasing and prints, plus the remaining four are random leeches to join the bandwagon.

I shared a booth with Shizuka, my kohai-chan from SAC. Basically, it was fun for the both of us as we laughed off at the RM1 per hour DJ, funny cosplayers, random performances, and friendly otaku's. There was even an autograph section involving Gempak Starz artist of Kaoru, Keith and another two which names I can't recall at the moment. We even talked to Ms Ruzanna, Gempak Starz crew, who saw us on her way to the stage.

Adrian Tok and Charlene came for a moment to head to LowYat. Then return again after the rain to stay at my booth before heading home. Adrian got a girl fan as she stared wide mouth at him drawing Kuroshitsuji. Yea, girls, he's still single and is for sale!! Haha^^ Thanks to the both of them for the endless support and company as well. They have come to every of my booths outing. Arigatou~! Need to belanja them also. T-T

P/s: Adrian, you can try opening a booth too ya know. You got the talent, so why waste it?

AFA 2008

Just opened my email to find something surprising! I was just discussing with Charlene about this several days ago that I might not plan to go to Anime Fest Asia 2008 since we can't really fix an idea on our accommodation and what not. Honestly, I felt that such a good opportunity would slip away if I did not go for this one since it's one big event! So, I regretfully chose not to go.

Then, I saw almost four junk mails and I was rather reluctant to check it out knowing it'll contain all those spams and nonsense. But, boredom was killing me to the extent that I took the extra effort to see what's in it. Okay...two unknown senders with alien language, one trying to con me into believing I won a lucky draw...and the last one is from Sony?! Okay...here I thought that they must be trying to promote some new merchandise and I figured I'll give it a shot. Opened the mail only to found this "Congrats!"

afa

I'll be changing my mind after all. Haha^^ So anybody interested in going for this event which will be held all the way at Singapore on the 22nd and 23rd November 2008? Sounds like an adventure hard to miss!

Hoohoo^^

Yes, I'm opening a booth there as well. Surprise surprise!! This event is co-organized by me friend, so it's kind of like a support. -.-'' I don't really like the poster tho. Not interesting at all. But I do hope I got more customers coming or I'd be doing my assignments all the time....

Anybody wanna help out can meet me at my booth, or you can meet me at LRT station. Well, my kouhai-chan is coming along too! I can tell it'll be one heck of a ride~!

Be there or be square!

Change Is Coming To America

Just a period of nine hours back, I remembered very well that my public speaking class ended with most of us ecstatically excited over who is going to take up Bush's administration next. When questioned spontaneously on who did we wholeheartedly support, all of us raised our hands to Obama. Inargumently, he's my favorite candidate, after all he proved to the whole world that anybody can achieve the American Dream in the United States. Try telling that to our government for a change...

Well, there was a thirty minutes break before my next class and both my lecturer, Miss Y and I scurried to the computer to find out about the results. All we saw on the map of America on msn were many red zones and several blue zones. Miss Y became slightly panicky when she said that McCain has advancing chances if he gains more grey zones. In fact, she was getting pissed at every passing seconds and decided to leave class to clear some air. Upon exiting the classroom, I was left with the resposibility to let her know first hand about the election result. All I needed was two refreshs and I saw this huge green tick on Obama's name.

Indeed, I was bloody happy! Miss Y was even dancing her booties off when she came to know it from an sms sent by mua. Thanks to Obama, our class was shorten half hour earlier than usual to accomodate Miss Y's perfect day and to discuss our group presentation. O well, smses were sent like bonfire among ADTP students in which I realised that my own sms came back to me. -.-'' Aren't they all excited as well? Well, no doubt that the relations between the US and foreign countries will improve over the coming years. Hopefully good news for us?

Anyway, just watched President Obama's speech a while ago over CNN. Very charismatic touch. Just hearing this makes me feel rather patriotic. Wonder when can our prime ministers do the same? I love Malaysia and I wanna see it grow as much as she can. But if we're still playing around with nonsense, I am not sure whether Vision 2020 is even achievable. Honestly, there's only 12 more years to this and I am still not seeing any of the criteria being fulfilled.

I do wish there are more things to come in the future. This is one historic news in a long time. At least it proves to us that "Let issues be just issues". Congratulations, President Barack Obama!

P/s: ktsiong owes me two MCD lunches and hi5, Carl's Jr fries mari!! Sarah Palin rox!
