if you really cared, you would try. i can tell that it's not the same. by the tone of your voice, by the questions you don't ask anymore. it makes me wonder...is this even worth it? i think it's better if we just left it the way that it is now instead of pretending, because i think we both know that there's just no point. sooner or later this too shall pass, and we'll both be happier no longer pretending that neither of us can see the elephant that is sitting in the room.
