| 1st Time BackThis is my first entry in slightly over a year. Now I am at Judson and I am at work attempting to figure out how to enter the Public Safety truck into a pimp my ride contest. I think it should be turned into a mobile donut maker but who knows? Anyway. There... I updated | | |
| Wow, it has been forever since I updated this thing. Life gets busy and Xanga gets forgotten. I am transferring to Judson College in the thriving metropolis of Elgin, Ill. I am so happy. I heard a funny qoute about my jumping ship. It went like this. "Funny, Zach, you are gaining Liberty by leaving Liberty." . Well. Lets see. I need to go back to the gym...I am getting lazy. Only went like three times this week. I also have a sore spot on my gum and it hurts. I also miss my girlfriend, Ashley. I love her and I am sick and tired of being away from her. Thomas, I think I'll beat you like a dog. Thanks for the comment, Jean. You know where just kidding with Jeannie Weannie thing. It's only cause we like you. Perhaps we will get to know you better next year at JUDSON!!! Yeck Frickin YES! And yes, I was using the royal "We" to refer to myself. Have a goodnight, People | | |
| Today has been a quality day. I arose from my slumber exactly in enough time to turn the hateful, vengeful, electronic demon called an alarm clock off before it could ruin me for the day. I weighed myself and discovered I have lost darn near 13lbs. Pretty good, I would like to think. Then I went to Town's Theo 202 class. What fun. I had to write a one page paper in class on the steps from temptation to sin! Then I went to check my email and lo and behold my american history 312 class' quiz was cancelled and I was invited to basically assume the role of the professor and show a video because he has a meeting. I have also decided that Mr. Rowlette the american lit professor is outside of his mind. On a side note, this is CFAW weekend so there are looks of chuckleheads running around trying to impress us college students. ha. hey liz, if you read this, we should hang out this weekend. To quote my hero: Good morning, and just in case i dont see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night. | | |
| Family tree:
To me family is sitting at my grandparents table with all the Winchells, whether called Sharps or Yazvacs or Wilgus. To me family is hunting easter eggs in the yard of 102 11th Street, and specifically in the iris patch. To me family is waking up in the back bedroom and smelling biscuits and bacon or sausage and knowing where I am. For some reason I never wake up at Tell City and forget where I am. It is the only place in the world where you can eat breakfast at 6am or 10am and no one will ask what you want, because they already know. To me family is stomping through the creeks in Perry County looking for the craw dads so Thomas can fry 'em up! To me family is bringing home my first deer to show my grandpa that he really did teach me something all those early chill fall mornings sitting still in the dewy fields. To me family is trying to figure out how to mow the bank by the hill without spraying green grass all over the side of the white house. To me family is racking my brain for the middle name of the lead singer of the Beattles for the crossword. To me family is going to the Tell Street cafe and being confident that they know my order before I give it and that there will be no dessert there because none can match my Grandmother's desserts. None. To me family is having my grandfather tell me to go in the basement and find the wrench. For those of you who have done this it is not an easy task. I like to think that my family tree is the fully laden peach tree, held up with all kinds of boards to support its load, in my Nanny's back yard. | | |
| So its been a while. Thats what 18 credit hours and a job will do for you. I do not believe that I knew the meaning of the word busy until now. Today I had my most social moment in a week....I saw a friend from freshman year in the package line at the post office. On another note, my fitness program is going well. I am eating healthy and excercising atleast six days a week. OH, there it is. I see the elusive isle of fitness just off the port bow. And really, I didnt need Richard Simmons or a sequin gown to get here...amazing. I am leaving now. I promise to update later. | | |
