Here is my new dog, Peanut. Yeah, and he'll never get any bigger than that.

Hopefully by the end of this semester, I'll be able to speak some serious German. I did not plan on continuing my training in German, but some scheduling conflicts forced me to sign back up for the 2nd semester. I guess the only thing left to do is suck it up and always say, "Ja, das baby!" I've been "planning" a trip to Atlanta in May to see Wicked for like 3 months now. Maybe one day I'll actually plan it. And buy tickets. And get a hotel. Until then, I'll keep putting it off.

Well, I'm content. No complaints really. And before I go, here's a reminder to be thankful for each day that we are given.

Goodbye. And have a pleasant tomorrow.

Wednesday, August 17, 2005

Is it just me or is this headline from the Mississippi College website a little strange?

"Mississippi College is one of 5 universities in the United States to offer a Masters Degree in Dyslexia"

If you read on, it mentions a degree in "dyslexia therapy."

College, here I come.

Sunday, August 07, 2005

Yeah so there's a Zimmerman Telegram show this coming Friday.

It's at the Methodist Church in the youth room at 7 PM.

There is no charge, and therefore no excuses for not being there.

For those of you who are dying to know more, http://www.zt.milque.com is the answer.

Oh, and come say goodbye to Caleb. He's going to Chattanooga. He'll probably be really upset if you don't show up to see him off.

I guess I'm out of cheap ways to try to get you to come to the show. So have a nice day and I'll see you on Friday.

Sunday, June 26, 2005

I'm back from Chicago. It was a party. I became very good
friends with our bus driver. His name was Al. Al's habits
included running off the road, slamming on brakes and swerving to miss
18 wheelers, and demanding food receipts from the older guys so he
could "turn them into his company and get more money." Oh yeah,
and he was late all the freakin time. No really, it was fun
though.

So I get back, and Katie leaves for the beach. Real cool,
huh? Yeah, that's what I said. I guess it is selfish
for me to want her to stay here. I did leave her here for a week
while I partied in Chicago. She leaves tomorrow and will be back
on Thursday. I'll be counting down the days.

I am writing this on my new laptop. It is a Sony Vaio and I am
enjoying it very much. It is seriously rockin.
Yessss. I also just read about Joseph Craven narrowly surviving a
golf cart accident at Twin Lakes. Dang, I really need all the
members of Zimmerman Telegram to get back alive before the end of
summer. Come on guys, make it happen.

Dance Dance Revolution is taking over the world. And I'm completely okay with that.

Enjoy your summer.

EDIT: Some work is being done to the Zimmerman Telegram website,
so I guess I'll put up a link so somebody can check it out.

http://www.zt.milque.com
Thursday, June 16, 2005

Summatime.

Lately it's been wild nights at the Magers' residence. Fun is being had by all. Choir Tour starts on Sunday. I find it comical that the trip is from Sunday to Friday and we only have to sing on the first day of the trip. So basically, we are going to St. Louis and Chicago for the heck of it.

My job search has had some bright spots, but those currently seem to be fading. I will continue my quest, however. Oh yeah, and my hair is all gone. Another semi-buzz cut. It seems to suit me.

I am once again becoming a video game nerd. I thought I had escaped this fate several years ago, but lately, my X Box has stayed in my trunk and when we are all sitting around with nothing to do I often find myself saying, "Hey, I have my X Box in my car." Four hours and 15 rounds of Halo multiplayer later, I'm unplugging everything and heading home. What am I coming to?

Well, I guess that's the news for now. Note to self: See Matt Stuart before Choir Tour. It's been too freakin long.

Keep it real.

Tuesday, June 07, 2005

Wisdom teeth: removed.

I'm still hurting bad. My dad says it's probably a dry socket. Plus he said that one of the holes looks infected. Isn't that lovely? It hasn't been that bad though. My mom made me lots of milkshakes.

Looking forward to: Attache's rendition of Grease(should be a party), choir tour, freshman orientation, our annual week at the gulf coast house, and the rest of summer.

I need a job quite badly. I probably could have gotten one by now, but I am so freakin lazy. I should make improvement in that area immediately.

Every member of Zimmerman Telegram is currently working at a summer camp minus me. Our first summer show will probably be in early July. I hope that materializes. Playing in ZT is much fun.

I guess I've run out of semi-interesting things to say. What happened to the days when I updated my xanga every day and had withdrawals when I couldn't post? And who could forget those Animal of the Day posts...

ANIMAL OF THE DAY - JUNE 6, 2005

The Elephant. Or in this case, a rather large, pink statue of an elephant, located in Canada. I hope some of you reading this remember the old Animal of the Day posts, or you'll probably all think I'm crazy.

See ya round.

Friday, May 27, 2005

So yeah, I'm in Orlando. Doing Disney World, Universal Studios, and all that jazz. Got a few stories to tell.

Yesterday, we drove to Tampa and went to Busch Gardens. While on the newest(and dare I say hottttest) roller coaster there, the Sheikra, a wasp flew up my shorts. I was restrained quite heavily(this was a very high-speed, intense machine) and was prevented from removing the creature from my pants. Needless to say, I was stung on the leg and finally removed the little bugger at the unloading station. Everyone kept asking if I was allergic, but I'd never been stung before. I'm alive, so I guess it's cool. Note: If I was a wasp and entered someone's shorts at 60 miles per hour, I'd be pretty pissed as well. I guess it all depends on how you look at it.

Later, while on the Sheikra for the second time, Luke Daniels and I got stuck. We ascended the 200 something foot lift hill and approached the 90 degree drop that is the ride's main feature. About 5 feet from the edge, we stopped. This had not happened the first time we rode, so I got nervous. After a minute of sitting there, we felt the power running through the tracks shut off. "Oh crap," I thought. Then the wind picked up, and the entire ride(including the support beams) began swaying heavily in the breeze. I tried to find my happy place. For some reason, my happy place on this day was playing golf with Tiger Woods on a tropical island and drinking lemonade under a palm tree with the other stars of the PGA tour. I almost lost my cool. I really wanted to freak out and start screaming at the top of my lungs. I guess society has successfully pounded into my brain the idea of being a real man and never being a sissy. Around 4 and half minutes later, the power turned on. We made the 200 foot, 90 degree drop and completed the ride. I tucked my shorts under my legs to prevent any more attacks from wasps. Overall, my experience on Florida's hot new roller coaster was not excellent.

There it is. My worst nightmare.

Not sure if anyone actually cares about my trip. But I figured making contact with the outside world was neccessary at this point. Long post, I apologize.

You guys try not to miss me too much.

It's a good day. Let's party it up. Something like 9 or 8 days left of school. But 3 AP tests is what I'm more concerned about. Should be okay though. I plan on dominating. Oh yeah.

Friday, April 29, 2005

Hey guys...invest your time wisely,
