    Home, Here I come!!

Just FYI, my estimated timeline for June:

    I leave today (1 June)
Should be in Drum by Wed (6 June)
Should leave drum by Fri (8 June)
Should be in Monett by Sun (10 June)
Will visit people in the local AO until the weekend of the 17th
Sometime on the weekend of the 17th, I will drive to Enid, hang out there for a dayish and visit people in that AO.
After the OK visits, I will (tentatively) head to Georgia, passing through Nashville to visit somebody in that AO, and end up in Fort Gordon on the 21st.

All of that is subject to change... but it gives an idea on when I might be swiging by :)

To my Monett and Enid peoples (at least those of you who read these): See you all soon!

    4 and a wakeup!

Yeah, I know the math is off from my last post, screw my company.

Useless fun survey stolen from Sarah:

    1. Would you marry for money?
-- Only on 3 conditions... 1) Alot of money, 2) I was able to divorce and keep the money, 3) My partner understood that the marriage was solely for money, and she'd get half.

    2. Have you had braces?
    -- Nope

    3. Could you live without a computer?
-- Live: Yes.  Enjoy life: No.

    4. If you could live in a different decade, which would it be?
-- The 80s.  If I were around at the begining of the computer age, Gates wouldn't have shit on me.

    5. Do you drink enough water?
-- No.  In my defense though, I'm in a desert... enough is an insanely large amount.

    6. Do you wear shoes in the house or take em off?
-- Don't particularly care... although I'm very lazy, so if I come inside I tend to leave them on, but when I wake up I wait until I go ouside to put them on.

    7. What are your favorite fruits?
    -- Grapes, Bananas, Strawberries, Pineapples.

    8. What is your favorite place to visit?
-- After 15 months here, Home.

    9. Are you photogenic?
    -- No.

    10. Do you dream in color or black and white?
    -- Color usually.

    11. Why do you take surveys?
-- I usually don't.  When I do, out of sheer boredom.

    12. Do you drink alcohol?
    -- Yes.

    13. What is the most beautiful language?
    -- French.

    14. Do you like being kissed when you are asleep?
-- If I'm asleep, how do I know I'm being kissed, and therefore how would I know if I liked it?

    15. WHAT do you like MOST, SUNRISE OR SUNSET?:
    -- Sunset.

    16. Do you want to live until you're 100 yrs old?
-- (I'm stealing Sarah's answer, because I agree whole-heartedly:) I want to live as long as I'm able to love life and bring joy to the people around me. The minute I stop doing both of those things, pull the freaking plug.

    17. Is a flat stomach important to you?
    -- No.

    18. What body part of the opposite sex is sexiest?
-- Face and Hair... I don't really care about color or particular style, but it has to go with the face.

    19. When watching scary movies are the lights on or off?
    -- It depends.

    20. Do you believe in magic?
-- Yes, but most likely not your definition of it.

    21. Do you believe in ghosts?
-- Yes, but most likely not your definition of them.

    22. Do you like to watch cartoons?
-- Hellz yeah.  Although, I also like sophisticated sitcoms and the such.

    23. At what age did you find out that Santa Claus wasn't real?
-- I do not recall, although I also do not recall believing in Santa.

    24. Do you write poems?
    -- Not good ones.

    25. Do you snore?
    -- No.

    26. You sleep more on your back, front,or sides?
    -- Back.

    27. Would you rather have a poodle or a rottweiler?
    -- Lab.

    28. Are you basically a happy person?
    -- Yes.

    29. Are you tired?
    -- No.

    30. Did you drink anything with caffeine?
-- With the exception of Coffee, everything.

    31. How do you take your coffee?
-- In the form of mountain dew or something frozen and flavorful.

    32. How many land line/cell phones do you have in your house?
-- A cell phone. (for the record, my house is a tent in a desert)

    33. Do you get along with your parents?
    -- Yes.

    34. Do you smoke?
    -- No.

    35. Do you have a kitty?
    -- No.

    36. Have you ever had a birthday party?
    -- Yes.

    37. What do you do when you're sad?
-- I don't get sad.  I'm either happy, apathetic, or really pissed off.

    38. What do you need most now?
-- Home.  For [insert diety here]'s sake, HOME.

    39. What song are you listening to now?
-- Avril Lavigne - He Wasn't (1999 AOL Sessions Music Video, to be exact)

    40. What are you craving right now?
    -- See Number 38.

So... no sh*t... there I was...

Once again, they've failed to kill me as of yet.

You know, staying in one place is just SO highly overrated these days.  Here's my current schedule:

I should be home (new york home) about the 1st of June.
After a few days of taking care of business, I'll go on leave for a couple of weeks, ending up in Georgia about the 20th of June, for 5 months of school.
When I get out of school in november, I'll be home again for a couple weeks, then I get to go to Korea for a year.

I hope to be able to see all my friends before I end up in Korea... will post details of where I'll be on leave once I finally figure it out.

    Until next time,

    -C/Z

  • Working Phone (version 92345)

Heh, ok, so once again I have a working phone.  Except this time it's a real phone, with a ringtone and everything.  My number is 0797635450, and the country code is 93.  It costs me about $1/min to call back to the states, but I get free incoming calls... so here are instructions to get some cheap(ish) phone cards to call me with:

    Go to http://www.all-about-phone-cards.com

Click on CARDS at the top

Look for the PENNY BOSS phone card

If you buy minutes with PennyBoss, it averages about 15-22 cents a minute.  Not sure how text messages work, ask your phone company about that (try calling customer care or going to a local store).  Call anytime, I'll answer if I can, and I have voicemail if I can't.  Maybe some communication with you Americans will help me keep my sanity for the next four months heh.

    -C/Z

PS - If anyone finds phone cards that are cheaper to call to afghanistan than 15-20 cents a min, let me know so I can share the information here.  Thanks!

  • Hola

Currently Watching: Fox News.  For like the 14th month in a row.

So they blocked Facebook from the government internet.  Crap on them.  Well, I am still alive... and not doing all that bad.  It helped that the Washington Redskins (NFL type ;)) Cheerleaders came to visit us the other day... that was pretty cool.  I got all kinds of pictures and videos that I'll probably end up (attempting and postponing, then failing to) making a DVD of.  Plus, I have Amazon to keep me company.  Sorry, bank account.

    Until next time,

    -C/Z

PS - Since I don't have the internet in my room anymore and therefore my Skype is once again useless, I bought a local cell phone.  Incoming calls are free, so when I find a good cheap site to buy cards from I will post instructions for calling me on it (and the number) :)

  • Argh.

I don't like hypocrites.  I especially hate it when I am forced to temporarily become one.  But it's come to my attention that in a very rare number of situations, to maintain a simple order one must embrace a small (albeit at the time seemingly large) hypocrisy.  But, I suppose in said situations it is the most strategic move to make.  Just thought I'd share that with you all.
