I can now say that I love weekends again! It is so nice to be back with hubby & be able to get out & do things together. I am also loving the weather here. There are so many photo opportunities as well as Mother Nature is just splendid here. First of all, my mom has been wanting to see more of the place where we live. Sorry mom, but I still haven't taken any photos of the inside yet...I will very soon, I promise! But...here is a shot of the front of our place.

And here is our view across the street!
Friday night after dinner we went to a park...here's a few shots from there...
fun with photoshop...(my mom keeps warning me of bears up here) you just never know what kind of wildlife you may encounter!
After our walk we then took a drive & did get to see a few animals. Unfortunately I didn't capture any well enough except for this shot of a deer... We also saw several bunny rabbits & some turkey Even out of focus, I thought this picture turned out pretty...
Here are some pictures from my daily walk... I LOVE this place. I just walk to it from my house & it is like you are out in the country.
There are red winged blackbirds all over this area. I have never seen them before here. They perch themselves on the catails or plants around the water. They look really funny when the wind is blowing, but they somehow manage to stay on top of the plants. You can bearly see the one above against the water .. here he is after I cropped the same picture The wildflowers are just stunning!
They also have ground squirrels here, which I was not familiar with. They are adorable! We have several right here in our back yard area...I captured this one while sitting outside the other day.
Sataurday morning, hubby & I went fishing down at the river. Didn't get any pictures of that! lol..When I fish, that is ALL that I think of! Unless I catch a really good one, which evidently I didn't, since I have no pictures! But it was a blast. Afterwards, we came home & got daughter & took another drive.
The sky & the clouds are also so different here. lol..if that makes any sense...but it seems that the sky is bluer here & the clouds are not quite as scary as Oklahoma's seemed to be! It also seems that when it rains or storms here, it just does it & gets it over with. Or at least it has done this since I have been here. A storm may pop up, but within 20 or 30 minutes the sun is back out.
Here are some pictures from our drive....
Later in the evening the storm clouds were moving in....
Daughter took off yesterday for her trip back to OK. Yes, I was very concerned about her taking that trip all by herself, but I also knew that it was something that she had to do. I also knew it was entirely out of my control...so I had to let it go. She did it just fine, thank God & had no problems.
To keep my mind busy I went for a walk while hubby watched his Sunday morning Fox news show. Same place as where I walked above, but yet I captured yet more wildflowers that weren't in bloom just the other day!
Then hubby & I took yet another drive!
We had seen an article in the newspaper about this Mill & decided to go & check it out...
Gus was our tour guide, who also entertained us afterwards!
OK..are you ready for this spectacular scene...it could be a postcard. Just absolutely stunning....
Afterwards we ended up checking out Chippewa Falls & stumbled upon the Leinenkugel Brewery & lodge.

We were "toured out" from the tour we had taken at the mill, so we decided to tour the brewery on another trip. But we did go inside the lodge where we got to look at all of their merchandise & also sample a couple of their brews & eat a German pretzel! I am getting a lot of exercise & sun here. I am enjoying it very much. Peace & love to you all.... ~ Zany

Wow! You should do the Wisconsin tourism photography - your pictures are beautiful! I wanna move to Wisconsin! I had no idea it was so neat!
Is your daughter really standing on the rock wall, or was that part of what you called photoshopping? Yikes! I'm glad she got to Oklahoma safely. Once they graduate, you are right, you just have to say what you can, pray a lot, and trust that they make good decisions! Kind of maddening!
Your place looks great, and it's so nice you have so many wonderful "nature" areas around you, and neat places to visit. That mill is just breathtaking! I'm glad that all your months of "heck" are finally behind you now!
