Days prior to exams

I just returned from having a good jog outside. The weather was 'ok', but good thing I was prepared.

I got struck from strong headwinds once again! But this time round, I was smart enough to bring along my jacket. Muahahaha. Fever can't hit me now. I have to be careful not to fall sick at this critical time!

As usual, exams are around the corner, everyone stressing out their potential to absorb everything that they've gone through the semester. Some couldn't spare time for a short exercise, which also meant that no one jogged with me. Huhu. But it's a good thing as well, since I get to push my limits to train stamina. I need that training. I'm already feeling the lack of power from my legs. Unlike before, my kicks during Taekwondo were powerful. When I went back in July, it sucked to the bottom. I need my constant training.

Next week is a dreadful week. I have three papers; one on Tuesday, two on Friday.

Am I stressed? Frankly, I don't know. Haha. By the looks of me still lingering around to write something on my blog simply meant I am still playing around eh? Die. I only studied 80% for one subject, and none for the rest. You can say I'm stressed. You can say "Aiyo, you're smart ma.. no need study also can score wan...". =.=' I get that all the time, and let me refute that little sentence.

I am not smart, else I'll be in Harvard, or Oxford, etc.
My exam results has been declining since Year 2. All I got was Credits, then the recent trend, Passes.
I study last minute. Any upfront work would just mean that I'm doing double job and it's not efficient for me. I'd forget what I learned before and then start all over again. It's my efficiency dude.
I do aim high but I don't expect all your highness. Mediocre is good enough for me.

Sounds like I'm complaining rubbish. But I speak the minds of many others similar to me. They felt the same. Probably some of them do better than me. That's all.

Take note: I am not complaining. This didn't occur because someone provoked me. But I'm just trying to illustrate the lazy syndrome in me. Hahaha. This was what went through for all my exams the previous years.

So the next time you see me, if you think I'm smart, think again. I might just ruin something out of your dependency. If you mention something between the lines of "you are smart", you can expect me to say, "No, I'm average like you." XD

This is fun! Hahaha...

Happy Birthday...

Firstly, I wanna wish a few people for their birthday.

Jennifer Yap Kim Lay, at time of this post, is still enjoying her last few minutes of birthday in Malaysia.

Angelina Ha How Ting, also her last few minutes of birthday (Malaysia).

Joyce Ting Kai Yuan, whose birthday is about to come in a few more minutes. Or rather, came about 2 and a half hours ago. Hahaha...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! May all your wish(es) come true!

Last but not least, it is also another joyous occasion and an anniversary for something dear to me.

My Macbook!

Happy 1st Purchased-year my dearest MacBook!

Though you were succeeded by an upgrade of specs, and more recently a BIG upgrade in terms of appearance, do not despair, for I will not be changing you for any of your newer siblings any time soon. You'll still be my baby to depend on... Hahahaha!

I still remember how I received the call from the newly-opened Machines in Sunway Pyramid, when they told me the Macbook that I pre-booked has arrived. It was also at the same time I was busy with revisions (or likely studies) for exams, that I got distracted and rushed to Sunway Pyramid the very day one year ago, eventhough I was amidst the hectic workload, and dusk almost turned to night.

IT WAS AWESOME! you don't see me using that word often.

All is happy then! Weeeee~

Gloomy Sunday

My title is not depicting the ever so depressing weather outside. It's sunny and just perfect for anyone to stroll the park, especially with cool temperature at the moment.

No matter how fine the weather is, what is in you just makes what it is for you. Don't get what I mean? Easy. If you are feeling happy, anything in this world just seems like a rainbow over your sky. When you are not feeling to it, then too bad. It's just a bad day after all.

I woke up to an early sleep this morning, but I wouldn't call it sleep at all. As I would describe as a roller to make your bed flatter, I was constantly awake for the six hours that I was lying down. In the end, I couldn't be bothered anymore and got up to the early dawn. My eyes were quite swollen at that time. My mom who happens to be up early also commented so on her call over Skype.

What am I to do in such early hours? I had the crazy thought of getting dressed then take the next coming bus to the Airport to my 'observation deck'. I thought maybe I could grab Hungry Jacks' Breakfast on my way back after staring mindlessly at planes. It didn't happen.

But what DID happen was me clicking over some pilot blogs (in which, very fortunate for me to find a new one), and then to some blogs of pilot's girlfriend's or wife's blog. They tell story that fascinates me at how pilots live their life and how their family copes with it. It's not at all perfect, but they live a unique life due to their mans' schedule. There are ups and downs to it, very so often that the relationship fails or arguments are always on the way due to insecurity and cranky bedtimes. All in all, it's still related to aviation.

I was up till 12pm when I lied down to sleep after having my brunch. Porridge with Vegemite (similar to marmite, but...) YUCKS! Marmite is way better. Glad I had the sleep though. I was acting hero yesterday for jogging with just a thin layer of Tee and the Winds was against me the whole duration. Bummer. What day to strike me headwind. I thought I'd manage, but so wrong. Ended up with a minor flu and fever as a result of being chilled. I'm keeping my warmth now. No worries.

There I am now, yet still fantasizing a great deal of things over the past hour while listening to great music. Let's list out what I thought about. Hmm...

For starters, a house.
then, a penthouse?
then, a penthouse with a great hall with equipped state of the art HIFI system and CD management library.
that's not enough, there must be a grand piano overseeing the glass windows at the main hall.
Near the kitchen, there must be a ventilated wine shelve to keep them wines.
then wait, can a pilot bring back one litre of wine without duty every time he flies?
Oh, not forgetting the Richard Clayderman's Carpenters collection CD,
hmm, I must get one of those Classical music collection selections for the romantic soul. Hahaha I made that up. But it is available in different titles.
Whole house to be tech savvy with a suitable switch and router system with ports all over the house.
and it goes on.

Oh man. I'm thinking too much. But other than those things listed, I also thought of my exams. Why the bloody hell am I not starting to STUDY yet? Note: STUDY in caps. not revise. Damn.

When I was young I'd listened to the radio,
waiting for my favourite song,
when they played I'd sing along,
it made me smile.

Those were such happy times,
and not so long ago,
how I wondered where they'd gone,

But they're back again,
just like a long lost friend,
all the songs I loved so well...

Every sha la la la,
every wo o wo o,
still shines...
Every shing a ling a ling,
that they're startin' to sing's,
so fine.

When they get to the part,
where he's breakin' her heart,
it can really make me cry...
Just like before,
it's yesterday once more.

I'm sure you know where to find the rest of the lyrics. Oh nostalgia. That had got to be in my collections some day.

What have I been up to?

Nothing really.

Just normal days goes by and time flies like we're barely holding on to it. In other words, OMG! WEEK 13 already!?

Hahaha... sorry about the exaggeration there, but it is true. What I have been hoping for as an end at the beginning of the year became something more of a reality now.

I did some random stuff yesterday. I went to the airport and stayed there for a couple of hours. Gazing through the glass walls of the gates can really keep me there for hours. I was observing the whole pushback, take-off, landing, etc. because the main runway was just in front of me. It's so nice watching those planes. I saw a rare sight where SIA Cargo's 747 Mega Ark parked at one of the apron. The average largest plane to land at Adelaide International Airport is just a Boeing 777, which Malaysian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific uses in their services.

I also managed to stand in front of one of the gates which is renovated to accomodate the Airbus 380. One of those guides on the ground for pilots to park according to the plane models showed A380. It is no surprise though there are limited spaces to fit this giant here. At most 2 lots maybe. I heard from a friend that Qantas A380 landed in Adelaide some time ago, after the airline got hold to their first A380. Damn.

On another note, I was reading the online Star newspaper and came across this inspirational speech given by Datuk Zaid Ibrahim during the LAWASIA Conference held few days ago. By the way, I'm sure credits goes to my dear mui mui for being the president of the organising committee for LAWASIA Moot Competition held in accordance with the conference. I'm sure it went well since it sounds prestigious enough. I feel proud too! Lol...

So back to the speech. I practically read through the whole speech and kinda wished I was there listening to it personally. The long speech did fire up in me into agreeing to the law reforms required as suggested by Datuk Zaid. I feel, with people like him, there is still some hope left for Malaysia. Well, at LEAST, there are still people who wants to move on and be brave to voice out.

Read his speech here.

<update>
Also, I was reminded how I hate Lord Denning when I was doing my Introduction to Law. As much as it sores to see his name on the law book, what he said is still sensible. I quote from the speech:

"Justice is inside all of us, not a product of intellect but of the spirit. Your oath is to the Constitution; shield yourself behind it. Without your conviction, democracy is but a concept."

Damn you Lord Denning. XD
</update>

Politics, probably not an arena for me, but I'll sure sign up for the next general elections although it's still some years more to go.

Plane plane plane plane!
