[Narnia: Prince Caspian]

[yet another day at work]

nothing to do so far, so i decided to share a few goofs with you. as i was sitting near the university office waiting for their lunch break to be over, i read all the possible advertisements, job offers, class schedules, and everything that was on the board. then my glance fell onto a box with leftover New Testament papers of our students. although i know that it's not too good to read someone else's stuff, but hey, they didn't want their papers and so i just looked through them... what i saw made me grin, but at the same time feel sorry for the teachers... i did not suspect that students can be that careless about the papers they write. anyway, without any more introduction, here are a few goofs... i wrote them down because they were too good to just see and forget. from what i understood, the papers were all about Paul's life.

so, breathe in deeply and prepare yourselves for a good laugh.

#1. "...Paul's teacher was Gamely" (it took me a second to understand that they meant Gamaliel)

#2. "...Paul comes from a town called Tarsel" (aka Tarsus)

#3. "...Later doom of Paul is known badly." (i bet they were just using a dictionary without thinking that words might have double meanings... "doom" and "fate" are two English words of one Russian word "fate")

#4. "...the sign of the Son Human will be seen" ("of man" and "human" is once again, the same word in Russian... LOL...)

#5. "...in jeudish tradition..." (Jewish tradition)

#6. "...2 Paul 3:10" (this was on the title page... people, if you include a Scripture verse on the title page, make sure you know what you are writing...)

i thought that usually kids are the ones who would do mistakes like that... but come on, it's a university level papers... wow... i am astonished.

[bleeeeeeeeeeeh]

What seemed a good day just turned out to be….well, not so good.

I just went to university to register for my last (I thought) class and found out that I failed a class… my hated International Economic Relations (i hate it because i do not know and understand it... and frankly, have no desire to know it... at least at this period of my life)

Dang… that is no fun, considering that I was planning on graduating this summer and before that to take one last class with Perry Kolodzy… The dreamed dessert was turned into an onion pie (those of you who like onions, sorry… I can’t stand (nor sit) onions)…

I am upset. I will have to take another class: Marketing Communication. Although I finally came to terms with marketing in general (I used to dislike that subject with passion), the subject is once again taught by the same USSR-type guy who taught IER.

Kill me, please, and finish my misery…

[dressing up...again]

Well, it’s been a while. Wow… I’ve been in Kiev and haven’t updated Xanga for so long! Tsk tsk.

Anyway… I was kinda in a mood to update yesterday, but then, it was more of a vent post, so I decided not to bother… maybe later.

Since I've got some new pics, I decided better to share those with you. Tonya spent a night over at my place, which meant lots of pictures and dressing up. So….here we go.

Kiev at night. this is one of the main avenues in Kiev that goes through most of the city.

this was still at Tonya's place. i came over and then thought it would be fun to go over to my place to get some pics done.

typical Zee's face expression below. hehehe. one of my teachers used to mimic it when i would stare at him or what he is written on the blackboard, trying to figure out what on earth does he want to say by that.

another Zee's expression... "what?"

two mugs that i've got during my recent trip to Europe. call me nuts, but i love goofy mugs... i love the Czech Me Out one...

one of my new outfits. i'm loving it.

i think the tie belonged to my grandfather or my gramma's brother... old, but yet, really fashionable.

although i am all hands and feet against communist party, i decided to have fun. warning: taken at 1am, so logic doesn't really work at that time anymore.

oh, also, i've got a haircut. nothing special, just got it more even on sides. what makes me laugh is that every single time when i am getting my hair cut, i tell the hairdresser the same thing. nonetheless, the haircut turns out different every time.

yah... another late night picture.

another outfit. i love how that blue shirt brings out the blue in my eyes (not that you can really see it on this pic, but just trust me)

everyone was surprised to see me dressed up in Church yesterday. hehe. i am a fan of sporty and comfortable clothes, therefore i dress up rarely. but as of late, it happens more and more often.

[Frankenstein - part II]

well, i finished reading it the other day and now am reading Dracula, another masterpiece of that genre.

i actually felt sad in the end of Frankenstein. Victor himself (the creator) died and the monster he created saw that there is no hope for him to get a mate like him, and killed himself. there was nothing to live for, since he was utterly alone and without any hopes of being accepted and satisfying the desire for love and companionship.

although i am not saying that terrorizing Frankenstein by killing his relatives was a good way to behave, but then... Frankenstein was a immoral person: how can you create someone and then hate what you created and try to kill it? the monster (or creature, which is a better way of calling him, i guess...) was a person. an odd looking at that, but still... i guess we all know the story of a monster who was accepted by another person. the Beauty and the Beast. she loved him when he was a monster and she gave him her love anyway. would Frankenstein's creature be like that if only he finally was allowed to love people openly without being hurt by them? i would think so.

i guess the moral of the story is that we all are responsible for what we do, even when we think that it would be something kewl. think of the consequenses that your deed may bring and then do the thing. i don't know... i am truly saddened that the creature could not find a way to express his love and he could not experience love from others... why live when everyone hates you, even your own creator?

Dracula's been okay. nothing has happened yet, so the suspense is only starting to build up. there was a mention of wolves and i could not but think of my beloved baby Nomies back in Idaho, the sweetest wolf ever... well, to me he was the sweetest. dad actually posted pictures of him today, so you can go look at dad's site.

anyway, i'm off to get something to eat.
