Good evening...

Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to update this site.. Well, no doubt that a lot has happened since I last blogged. To start off, it's been 2 weeks since school had started...

The first week was pretty intense... Certain substitutes weren't qualified to teach our lesson according to the syllabus. Mostly because they just arrived from their home country and therefore, did not know the syllabus at all! How in the world did they get the position as a Form 7 teacher? The answer is still unknown.. The teacher that was assigned to us was O.K but more suitable for the youngsters who need a whole lot of discipline.

Other than that, on the first day of English Literature, we find out that the movie that we've been studying for the past year "Night of the Hunter" was scratched from the syllabus and the school just got the notice this month. At first people were rejoicing at the fact that it's a movie called "Big Fish" but then, I realised why they were rejoicing... They've never seen it before. Ha ha ha... As I have already seen it and knew how confusing it would be for first-timers, my predictions were right... After we finished watching the movie, most of them were worried about how they would combine the movie to the other set texts in our category, "Love and Death". All we could come with at first was that, the movie was just like "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel (one of the set texts and a book that you should read! skim through part 1 though 'cause it's really boring and useless... Ha ha ha). There were a lot of flashbacks and it had the same effect as the book... leaving us with the question of whether these certain events had actually occurred. So... I guess you know which is my favourite subject so far. He he he...

Psychology is not that bad. We started doing some past papers. Even with the book, it's quite hard to get the answers down... We were supposed to have a test on the past 6 chapters that we learnt in Form 6 but once again, our negotiating skills are just so goshdarn good that we got our teacher to break it down. We only had one test so far on the first chapter and I didn't do so bad.

The school has changed big time. I'm happy about the fact that the way people dress now is a lot more standardized like the old days of Form 1 (don't I sound OLD? LOL) However, stuff like socks that must be above the ankle or dyed hair bugs me, as well as Ms Paula. Prefects bugged me about my socks even though it was above the ankle. They should've done proper measurements to state how high the socks should be. So far, no one has noticed the highlights on my hair. Well, maybe that's 'cause my hair's short. Ha ha... Yeah, I got it cut the day before school. Sometimes it's alright but other times, I miss my long hair... especially when I'm bored or in deep thought, 'cause I always play with it. )=

Aside from regulations, there are "more" classrooms in the school. The technician's room is made into a classroom. All the staff rooms that were once staff rooms are now classrooms. All the teachers moved to the back of the Library, which is HUGE and kind of looks like something you see at Hip Wo. I'm just glad they made good use of that space.

There are new teachers... For the first week, I got to meet Mr Paulo (=.=") who teaches English and Liberal Studies. He is a Filipino (YEY!), a graduate from Harvard and he can speak 9 languages.

For the second week, I've met the 2 new English teachers that were handpicked by Dr Chan himself to replace the one who was teaching us in the first week. One is called Mr Chan (Cheung) and the other Mr Wu. Mr Chan is taking over for Ms Tse, as she just gave birth last month and is still on maternity leave. He came from Canada/U.S.A, taught in lots of universities. There was a reason why he came back to Hong Kong but I think it's best that I don't put it here.. The other, Mr Wu teaches the Non-Chinese speaking group the reading/comprehension skills. Sort of like last year, only we had Mr James Lo, or as we like to call him "Jamie". (=

We have this new system... It's kinda like what you see in Harry Potter. The houses? For Broadway, its H-armony (red), O-bligation (blue/green-WTF?), M-orality (blue/green), E-quality(purple). I'm purple. Ravenclaw. Ha ha ... I'm really happy about my house 'coz we have the athletes, Mr Kot, Mr Lee and Ms Paula. we have the cheerleaders/role model/leaders, Ms Cheung, Camille and Jehonna. we have the singer, Lovely. More importantly, Gary CHAAAAAAN is our leader! He he he You don't want to piss him off... =P There was one day where we had to have an "election". People just had to vote agree or disagree to the ALREADY CHOSEN committee members for each of the houses. Weird e? Well, they have no choice... I was in charge of checking the Purple house members, getting their names down and handing out the forms to Agree/Disagree. Gary stood by me, being the leader and campaigner. Ha ha.. it was great 'cause I missed ECON. LOL.. They didn't do much anyway since we were about to have a 3 HOUR test for Business later on... While we were promoting the purple house, there was a student who came up to us and asked us for ANOTHER form to agree/disagree. We saw the paper he had already stamped, which said "Agree" and so we denied his request for a new paper. LOL... that's the way you do it. ^_^

As it is only Monday, nothing much as happened.. Economics knocked the wind out of us. It's just so hard... I need a tutor. We had English, Business and Psychology. Since last Friday or Thursday, the Psychology class had merged with the Biology class because one of the chapters we're about to take up involves biological processes. Fortunately, what Mr Kot (bio teacher) is teaching us now is just a more in-depth look on what I studied in form 4 and 5. Thank goodness I paid attention to the chapters on the Brain. As for Nutrition? Plants? BAH...

It seems as though the days are just passing by so quickly once again.. I wake up, go to school, get through the day, finish what is needed to be finished after school AT school, go home, prepare dinner (been doing this since mom started working again... university tuitions are bull, seriously...) and well, do anything else that's need to be done...

I can't believe that in only a few months, I'll be attempting the hardest exam of any Hong Kong students' life.. I try not to worry but it's all I hear and see.. I have to apply for Jupas by December but they gave us the book already to see the requirements and all for the universities in Hong Kong. The easiest choice for me would be to become an English teacher. Major in English because there arent that many requirements and as a non-chinese (speaking), for once, such a status can actually come in handy. But then there's also this other 'pratical/dream' of becoming somewhat of a lawyer. Ha ha.. I can apply for Business Law. Another option would be Human Resources. This just came up because I remember how my parents used to/still complain about the HR... how they let go or hire people without taking a closer look (discrimination!).. it has happened far too often.. I don't know.. just another one of those things you think about.. I also want to franchise stuff.. there's the idea of Blue Magic? Bench?! Artworks?! Or the "Pancake House", only with Pancakes... =.= did anyone feel the same way when they saw that resto in Philippines? Twas a first time for me, so... Yeah... Haha... I really thought it was pancakes... Like an all-day breakfast thing.. Something Americanized.. haha..

I'm so confused...

Aside from that... Lindsy's birthday was on the 7th of this month. That was probably the best time I've ever had since.. my birthday? No.. the day I went to Tiendisitas (= (a place I went to when I was in the Philippines). Both were great... Hm...

For some reason, I'm excited about Christmas... Haha... the jolly season...

I went crazy about something from ROXY... whee... )=/=)

I joined a Joint School Writing competition last Thursday,

which I wish I hadnt because I wanted to join the debate,

if ONLY i knew it was just the kind of 'debate' where you give a speech.

I pictured the opponents and the judges on a stage and they argue, one by one.

Those kinds of debates! Sigh... Twas ok.

We went to the Pakistan Club in Jordan.

He's not going to be attending school anymore.

He'll be leaving for Australia on May 26th.

He's also leaving his hunnybunny, Ga Che and they'll be starting a long-distance relationship.

After school, we had a small goodbye party.

He gave a speech which made me feel like crying,

'cause it reminded me of a certain someone who left to pursue his dreams...

ESPECIALLY when he said, "I'll be back. Wait for me..." to his sweetie in front of us!

Ahh.. >.<" He's a really good guy

and we won't be seeing him till next year or something.
