woohoo! i'm going to get a new set of speakers delivered to my doorstep! :)

was supposed to bring my speakers down for a 1-to-1 exchange as its a faulty set (again). i've already replaced 25 fuses for this stupid thing.

jon and a few other groupmates were at my place yesterday when the speakers requested for fuse number 26. they were asking why i didnt get the speakers changed. the size of the speakers is a major reason why i've been reluctant to bring the set down. jon asked me why i didnt "shoot them" and "make them deliver it to me".

honestly, i really hated the idea of bringing the set all the way down for an exchange, when its obviously a manufacturing defect. moreover, my brother had already brought the set down once.

and so, jon suggested that i should "shoot them with an email". here's the email that he drafted for me.

to be honest, i really felt that it'd be pretty useless and i'll still have to bring the system down one day. afterall, the warranty is being handled by a company outsourced by the manufacturer. jon and the rest felt otherwise and told me something will be done.

fast forward to one day after email was sent, voila!

-----------------------------------------------

woohoo! half of the problem solved!
anyway, their advice on how to turn off the power is crap. i've been switching off my system from the main power switch and the fuse gets blown all the same!

-----------------------------------------------

joseph saw my msn nick and starting asking me about it..

zh - '' says:
they make the changing of fuse an easy job

zh - '' says:
i've changed 25 fuses already

zh - '' says:
lol

joseph says:
LOL

joseph says:
25 fuses

joseph says:
they provide u rite

zh - '' says:
no!! i bought myself

joseph says:
like doctor giv patient medicine

joseph says:
they giv u doses of fuses

joseph says:
hahaha

sounds so true!

-----------------------------------------------

now i'd have to get ready to do the wiring all over again. i'm keeping my fingers crossed. i dont want to change any more fuses!

its the final week of the semester! 3 more major projects (50%, 50%, 32%) to go. then its time to prepare for the 4 papers coming up. holy shit!

ANTS!!!

for the past 2 months, i've been dealing with an influx of ants patrolling my studyroom. i was actually quite puzzled as to what attracted them into my room, since they didnt use to "visit frequently". got really pissed off today, and started to ransack the room (again), looking for "ant-paths". after some inspection, i finally managed to find that damn path that i've failed to locate for the past 2 months! out came the insecticide, and the ants became "black-dots-sticking-on-the-wall". after 5 minutes of spraying, i was close to my window grill. sprayed at the side of the grill, and something came "flying out". something white, and on first glance, it certainly looked like fish bones to me.

it didnt take me too long to realize that this could be the lizard i smacked on 2 months ago. now, the thought of that got my hair standing. i can barely believe that a dead lizard was there for 2 months, and what's left are just bones and ants? i went to get some tissue paper, and started to pull out the bones. true enough, its that damn lizard! there were ants all over that "thing" and what was even more amazing was, the "middle part" of the lizard was actually bluish green in color! i suspect its because of the poisoning from the insecticide? haha. anyway, more than half of the lizard's "flesh" was gone. that half left is just what you see when you finish eating up a fish. yes, just the white bones.

i still remember i was chasing after that damn lizard back then, one hand holding the insecticide, the other hand wrapped in a plastic bag, ready to catch it. i only managed to spray some insecticide on it, but i know it wasnt enough to kill it. it somehow disappeared and so i started to smack the sides of the window grills (the parts against the wall). attempts to tempt the lizard to move out turned out to be futile. what i didnt know was, one of my "smacks" actually turned the lizard into a flat pancake. as if trying to take revenge on me for that, the lizard attracted a steady stream of ants into my room for the next 2 months. now, that's quite a punishment for me, cause i really cant stand the sight of ants!! especially not in my studyroom!

i've since sprayed the "ant-paths" with insecticide. they are all going to die!! woohoo!

opps.. i sound like i'm some psycho.. but dont you agree with what i did? i've always felt that we should have a worldwide "clean up the world, kill the ants" day, where everyone in the world will just kill all the ants they see. seriously, dont you think that's a good idea? no?

by the way, the thought of this whole ants cleanup thing this afternoon is still causing my hair to stand every now and then. oh no...

you are walking your way back to the carpark to collect your car...

you are thinking about where to go next, and you see a really unique vehicle in the carpark...
