| Remember, Simba...I love to smile. I love to laugh. I love to see and hear the same joy in others.
I had temporarily forgotten these things about myself.
| As time goes by6pm-ish yesterday evening, I felt a headache coming on, so I drank a cup of water and took a nap. I woke up to find that my head was still splitting. It is now 1pm, and there's still a dull, aching pain right behind my eyeballs.
It's weird that people get used to pain after a while. It doesn't hurt any less, but the person becomes desensitized, and it becomes just another burden that one must live with. The headache didn't prevent me from doing the dishes, or checking my email, or getting dressed. But it was constantly there. I just shifted my attention away from it and towards whatever I was engaged in at the time.
Eventually, the pain leaves of its own accord, once time has passed. Later in the day, maybe even tomorrow, perhaps, I'll realize with a start that the headache is gone, and all that remains is a vague memory of a not-quite-debilitating pain that plagued me for a day and a half.
| Oh, the things you seeI was walking to Bunche and I saw a girl wearing a scarf. She was the size of an average 11 year-old, but she was wearing a scarf that was obviously made for a giant, because she was drowning in it. It looked like she was carrying a massive boa constrictor. Or walking around in a large barrel. | | |

Frustration is the worst feeling in the world. Sadness or anger is preferable to frustration. If I'm sad, I can at least make halfhearted attempts to put a smile on my face. If I'm angry, I can at least rant and vent myself to exhaustion.
If I'm frustrated, it's because there is nothing - NOTHING - I can do about the source of my frustration.
| Superman and cinnamonSuperman fruit snacks were on sale, so I bought 'em. Best fruit snacks I've ever tasted in my life. Ever.
I wanted Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, but the only kind that was on sale was the cinnamon-flavored one, and I only like cinnamon in certain baked goods or the occasional hot drink. So I bought the cinnamon-flavored kind anyway. It's quite tolerable if I drown out the cereal with milk and add bananas or something. Next time I'll just go with a different cereal.
